Persuasive Essay On Fahrenheit 451

In world where firemen create fires instead of putting them out. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, sends readers into the life of Guy Montag, an average fireman living in a futuristic dystopian society where most books are banned in an effort to make life easier by eliminating controversy. I chose to read Fahrenheit 451 because it is a classic, 60 year old book that is still being sold in stores today so I figured that it had to be an amazing novel, and oh boy was I right. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is a first person narrative following Guy Montag’s journey as a curious fireman. Montag’s job as a fireman is to the burn the books that have been banned by the government. We first meet Montag as he is walking home from the fire station. On this night, he meets a girl named Clarisse McClellan. Now, Clarisse is not like any other person that Montag has ever met before. She is curious about everyone and everything including Montag and his job. Clarisse is not into the activities that most of everyone else participate in like watching television, rarely socializing, and acting in violence. This interaction with Clarisse introduces Montag to the different way of thinking that she possesses. After that night, Montag continues to talk to Clarisse more and more and his mind becomes increasingly
In the end, Montag was able to successfully escape from his community, now how he accomplishes this I will not say, you’ll just have to read the book to find out. I especially appreciated the ending because it is very similar to how I pictured the outcome to occur. My favorite part of this book had to have been the final dispute between Montag and Captain Beatty which I will not go into detail on because of spoilers. Overall, Fahrenheit 451 was an amazing novel, it has definitely earned the title of my favorite book I have ever read and I would recommend it to anyone that is into science fiction
