Persuasive Essay On Drought
I think we should recycle water because if we go on a drought we can last 4 years, but we would only use it when we need it the most. We would only need it for a season or 2 then we know after we will get rain so this can save our lives. But that is if we do manage to somehow go on a drought, then that is when we will start to use the recycling water process and i’m thinking that it would be the cleanest water that we ever drank in our life.

It would affect the U.S. economy though because if you want water you have you buy it and it would cost more since it is recycled and it is the freshest water out is the U.S.A.. The U.S.A. will pay for the water to give it to us and they are losing money but they on get ⅕ of the prophet back. So after

Back in 2014, water regulations in Temecula became more strict because of the drought and in wake of the 14 scorching San Diego County wildfires that left many without homes. According to Craig Schultz of Press Enterprise newspaper, the wide range of restrictions included “Watering outdoor landscapes in a manner that causes excess runoff, using a hose, without a shut-off nozzle, for any purpose, using drinking water in non-recirculating fountains or decorative water devices.” This points out that the districts are taking the steps needed to conserve as much as they can. In April 2016, the Rancho District actually lifted some of the water restrictions to focus on other factors of the issue. From the Temecula Patch article, Renee Schiavone writes that “EMWD is actively engaging with the Water Resources Control Board to encourage changes to the regulations that recognize local water supply conditions and preserve…

At a time when relatively few women worked outside the home, Barton built a career helping others. She was never married, as she knew the restrictions of a married woman at the time, but had a relationship with John J. Elwell. During the end of the American Civil War, Barton worked at a hospital she made helping the people at the Andersonville prison camp where 13,000 people died.…

At the World Water Forum, the key message was: There is probably enough fresh water available to meet human needs, despite climate change and population growth. However, the problem is poor management of water, which results in scarcity and conflict. I agree with this message that was brought up during the forum because there can still be a good amount of water for everyone, it's just some people take for granted that they waste the water and they think that’s not making a negative impact on the world. If they just keep on doing what they are doing our water supply will decrease drastically.…

"It's not just a game," to many athletes this statement rings true. Sports fuel the drive and determination within people, and provide them an essential learning tool from which they can grow. Competitive is defined as, "of or relating to a situation in which people or groups are trying to win a contest or be more successful than other : relating to or involving competition ."(merriam-webster.com) This concept of competitiveness is the foundation of all sports. The competitive spirit and thirst to want to better oneself in order to be at the top is a fueling force that will propel our children far beyond their years on the court. Providing children with equal playing time in youth sports discourages the necessary need for healthy competition and takes away valuable life lessons that will prepare them for the future.…

Imagine a life without water. How dry the ground would be, how little produce would be created, and how outside fires (such as bonfires) would be banned due to the scare of a forest fire appearing. The south has been dealing with a drought the past few months, yet California has been battling with this for years. Due to this drought, the government has placed restriction on water usage. Farmers are not a part of this governor’s restriction though. Many argue that farmers should conserve water better by using more drought tolerant crops and I highly agree with them. The farmers and the government, on the other hand, believe that the drought has already affected them enough so they should not be restricted. The water should be better shared between…

Schools should close school if they need to for a snow day because the safety of everyone is important, it really does not do that much of a harm for student achievement, and it gives students and teachers a day to do whatever they want. Safety is critical for everyone. When the roads are icy and slick because of the cold winter weather, there should not be school. For high schoolers that are just getting their licence and have not been driving for very long, it is not good if they drive to school. High school driver’s are not the best drivers and especially on roads with icy conditions, anything can happen at any time.…

In times like today, people have mixed views on smoking and on the effects it has on the human body. Most people who smoke, feel that non-smokers are against them, and believe in the myths that are portrayed by cigarette companies. They do not realize how addictive cigarettes are, and end up stuck with the burden. I feel that her entire article is truly opinionated and biased about non-smokers and she really doesn’t have the hard evidence, just personal experience.…

Climate change has been a controversial topic for the past few years and this is a topic that needs to be addressed immediately. Even though there are people in the world who say climate change does not exist or that climate change is a hoax to make people buy certain products, the end result is true. Climate change will kill the human race and everything else on the planet. We can see the effects of climate change now with the temperatures rising, the arctic and land ice decreasing as time goes by, this is not caused naturally. In fact, we can show proof since the industrial age the sudden spike in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. With carbon dioxide the highest it’s ever been in 650,000 years. This is causing sea levels to rise as well…
