Dog fighting is a cruel, heartless, “sport” that kills up to the tens of thousands of dogs every year. It is an activity that needs to be stopped immediately for the safety of our dogs.
During a dogfight, dogs can leave puncture wounds, bruises, and even broken bones on the opposing dog. In more severe cases of dog fighting, death can be the final result of a dog. Puppies that are born with a disability or are just born “weak” are used as bait for adult fighting dogs. The owner of a fighting dog will tell their dog to attack the smaller puppy so that it can become stronger when it is in an actual dog fight.
