Persuasive Essay On Christmas Is Illegal
Now it is officially illegal to celebrate Christmas, or any other holiday for that matter. Apparently, the dominating Puritans tried to eliminate worldly distractions, such as decorations or holidays. They made it illegal to celebrate holidays because the Christian Bible does not mention it. All activities related to Christmas or any other holiday, including dancing, seasonal plays, games, singing carols, cheerful celebration, and especially drinking were banned. Christmas trees and decorations now are considered as unholy rituals, and traditional Christmas foods such as mince pies and pudding are now prohibited. The new laws require stores and businesses to remain open all day on Christmas.
The Puritans have multiple reason for disliking Christmas.
