You should be allowed to own an assault weapon. A woman recently had her home broken into, and she fled to the attic . The intruder eventually made his way up to the attic and broke into the room, where only the mother’s 6 or 7 gunshots stopped him in his tracks . Having a semi-automatic weapon with a reasonable high magazine capacity saved that woman’s life. The high capacity of an AR, along with it’s light weight, accuracy and accessories make this an awful nice weapon to have in the case of an emergency. Banning assault weapons isn’t going to save lives, it will only disarm or disadvantage the law obeying citizens and help the criminals who will have weapons no matter what. The reason to own an assault weapon is for protection ,recreation and self defense.
The reason why i think you should be able to own an assault weapon is cause . one of main reasons are that if it’s illegal to own an assault weapon then why do they have class 3 weapons licences to carry and to own the only thing people do not agree is because of the risk and
