Persuasive Essay On Animals
A mother monkey is isolated in a cage with her baby. A scientist then puts anesthesia into her body and slowly falls asleep. The baby is crying and moaning. Imagine this, happening to your dog, cat or your own pet. Scientists have been using animals making them starve and getting abused to cure humans for years. Even though there are many more ways to cure a human being, scientists choose to ignore it and use animals instead. Animal testing should be stopped. Many scientists use animal testing even though there are many more resources than animals. For many experiments animals are not needed, but are chosen to be experimented on. The Magic Collective makers on vimeo say, “Scientists have found more cures without having animal testing,” (Source 7). Why use animals when there are many more ways to find cures. The scientists are getting lazier to try to look through the human body and goes straight to the animal’s body instead. They have found more experiments than just animal testing. Magic Collectors agree by saying, “More accurate testings, autopsy, DNA chips, MRIs, CAT, and DET scans,” (Source 7). These tests can be used, but scientists choose not to. Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside cold, barren cages in laboratories across the country. “For days they languish in pain, ache with loneliness and long to roam free and use their minds” (PETA). These animals come from a wide variety of places such as city pounds, zoos, commercial breeders, and even circuses. Did you know that around the world these animals are being used to test products ranging from shampoo to new cancer drugs? In fact almost every medical treatment that you use has been tested on animals. For instance, animals were used to develop anesthetics (AnimalPort). All they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them. “The stress, sterility and boredom causes some animals to develop neurotic behaviors such incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth and even pulling out their own hair and biting their own skin” (PETA). Believe it or not animal testing is not required by law, animal testing is only done to protect companies from consumer lawsuits (Zoomshare). Animal testing…

`”God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages” (Deval, Jacques). There are many things wrong about animal research, and I think that a lot of it is wrong. All of my life I have had a tremendous amount of passion for all animals, and in most instances I've found that I have felt more comfortable around them than I do people, finding myself drawn to their many personable qualities, such as innocence, loyalty, lack of judgment, and overall cheerful disposition. As I have grown, my care for animals and their well being has as well, and my eyes have been opened to the horrors taking place all throughout the globe involving poor, innocent animals, who are unable to defend themselves, against the very people they are meant to find companionship with. The controversy over the practice of utilizing animals for the purposes of testing has been an issue for the past 30-40 years, and with it, comes the moral debate. However, the topic of ongoing question, whether animal testing is right or wrong, lies within your own personal morals.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

There are some good things about animal testing; however, there are way more cons when it comes to using animals for research. Yes, animal testing has lead to many life saving treatments, but there are other testing methods that don’t require animals. Humans often make the misconception that we are genetically similar to animals. Animals are drastically different from humans, so they are very poor test subjects (Mieke). Drugs are required to pass a test before they can be used on animals, yet most drugs that pass the test are harmful to the test subjects (Mieke). The cons overcome the pros of researching on…

Animal testing is a multi billion dollar industry. Spending this much money on such an unreliable thing is not a resourceful idea. It would be a much better choice to invest that money in finding other adequate ways of research. Also, because animal testing is so expensive, they could also be finding more cost efficient ways of testing instead. We should not be spending billions of dollars on such an inhumane method of research especially when the cost isn't just money but…

Hundreds of animals are tested on and are used for human entertainment yearly. The ethics of animal testing has always been questioned. Many people look at animals as companions while others only see them beneficial if they are used to advance medical techniques or further research. Some people do not want to think of animals as on the same level as humans. Animals may not be able to speak and are not thought to have the same ability of thinking as humans, but they do not deserve to be tested on with products that may hurt them or go through horrible experiments just to better our scientific world. Humans may benefit from these experiments but the torture and pain animals are put through is unfair and unjust. Testing on animals should be outlawed…

Testing animals is not only cruel, torturous, and unfair but it also is pointless. Innocent poor animals are being captured, experimented on, and/or killed for our own selfishness. People assume that testing on animals is beneficial due to the fact that it has resulted in a few vaccines which work against certain diseases, and because it has been key to major medical advances but that is not always the case. Although there have been a few benefits, the majority of the time animal testing is ineffective for us humans! There are endless of reasons why animal testing should be put to an end, but three of the most important ones are its dangerous to humans, it is unreliable for our health, and it is just inhumane.…
