Persuasive Essay: Nitro-Power RC Car
RC onroad cars are a great hobby, and it offers you a fun way to enjoy your free time. When it comes to RC cars, they can be powered with gas or an electrical battery. The gas powered RC cars can be a mixture of gas and oil, but other times, they are powered by nitro methane. You can purchase this from almost any online store. The reason a lot of people choose a nitro-power RC over electric is because they accelerate at higher speed, and they offer more power than their electrical counterpart. On the other hand, gas powered RC onroad cars are heavier, so they have a higher likelihood of breaking when crashed. Also, paying for gas and oil can get expensive.

An electrical RC has been geared more towards beginners of the sport. Nevertheless, some of these vehicles are as good as a nitro-powered RC in terms of speed. Another advantage is that they come ready to go right from the start, and you only have to plug it in to try again. Electric RC cars are also less expensive.

For example, a General Motors EV1 from the late 90’s cost about $34,000 (Quiroga, 2009). With inflation adjustment, this would amount to around $52,000 today. Compared to the average cost of a vehicle from 1997 which is $16,900, that was a lot more money (“What Happened…

These rides must be propelled in some way. The most common way is through the use of large hills. Using gravity to accelerate the car down the large hills is a way that engineers can make the car from start to finish. This is due to the law of conservation of energy. The biggest difference between gasoline and electric vehicles is the engine. Instead of an internal combustion engine the electric vehicle has an electric motor. Also instead of gasoline as fuel an electric vehicle uses batteries for energy. Finally, instead of injecting fuel into the motor the electric car has a motor controller that takes power from the batteries and delivers it to the motor. With different components the vehicles function differently. The accelerator pedal in an electric vehicle is connected to a pair of potentiometers which provide the signal that tells the controller how much power it is supposed to deliver. The power delivered translates to the speed of the…

When I was younger my parents wouldn't buy me a dirt bike, at that time I thought they were being unreasonable and not looking after me. Obviously, now that i'm older I know exactly why they were scared of me riding a motorcycle. Riding a motorcycle is a dangerous activity and there is a high learning curve associated with it. Even though it went against my parent's better judgement. I saved my money and bought myself a dirtbike and later a street bike. The dirtbike involves going fast over rocks ruts and mud and riding on loose slippery surfaces. An accident in the middle of the desert or woods can turn deadly. But looking at stats of motorcycle deaths, one might be surprised that riding on the street is a lot more dangerous than riding off road. On the street, there are many variables always changing and as a rider you have to…
