Personality Reflection

Using the textbook, the University Library, the Internet, and/or other resources, answer the following questions. Your responses to each question will vary but overall should be 700- to 1,050-words in length.

1. How would you define personality? The combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character.

2. What are some key personality features that define you? There are many personality traits that define me but I will give only some key ones. Intelligent, dependable, optimistic, independent, humble, reliable, honest, trustworthy, and persistent. These best describe me because I am an intelligent woman who has been dependable for my family and friends, optimistic and persistent about anything that comes my way that may be bad. For example: I was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 31, 2013 and instead of me giving up and saying I can’t do school and go through what I am about to face, I was optimistic and persistent that I could go through my treatments with courage and the knowledge that I could beat this and still stay focused and finish accomplishing my dream of earning a degree. I am independent because that is what my parents taught me and my sister. They said if you are able and not disabled to go out and make a living for yourself always be self sufficient and depend on yourself. I am humble for everything that God has allowed me to receive and accomplish in this life and never thinking that I am above anyone. I am reliable, honest, and trustworthy because I always was taught that you carry these traits for life. When people can rely and trust you then you can always be the person that they can go to for anything. Last but not least honesty was always instilled in me as a child. I was taught no matter what to always tell the truth and be honest with people and they will always trust what you do or say.
