Personality Profile Essay On Cancer
Thomas Hotte Ms. Boyd
Personality profile Period 3
The article on Cancer fits me for the most part. It says my positive traits are “loyal, dependable, caring, adaptable, and responsive.” A cancer is a very complex person when it comes to independence. They’re very contradicting and they’re independence has to do with there state of mind. I’m like the description of a cancer because it says we have the perseverance and drive to do what we need to do and can be self sufficient. Although we don’t need someone to depend or we prefer to have someone there to

This is a man who was diagnosed dead in the back of an ambulance and fell into a coma. He was young and doing want any young boy likes to do with a four-wheeler and that his go fast. Laura Stone, writer for dontjudgeme.com, writes; “Speaking of those toys… While speeding on his quad (ATV) sans helmet, he smacked into a partially hidden tree stump and flew up in the air an estimated 80 to 120 feet, coming straight down on his head. As he lay there convulsing, the ambulance made its way through the bracken to him. He died in the back of it as they raced back to the hospital, but was able to be brought back to life. Now I’m going to talk about my positive traits. I like helping people, if there is something I can do, I will do it. I believe that when you do something good for other people you get two things 1, the satisfaction of helping and two, God will reward you for the good action. According to my family I’m a joyful person I’m always smiling and making people laugh. Like I said in the beginning, I don’t like showing people my weaknesses and that includes when I’m sad or depress. I prefer keeping it all to myself and act like everything is okay. I put others first than me, I think that is something good because it doesn’t make me a selfish person. Another positive trait that I will always be thankful to my parents is showing me good manners and to…

I made my way across the parking lot, towards the entrance to the gym. As I reached the double doors I paused, then slowly turning, I attempted to take in as much of the outside view as I could. I saw a green meadow dotted with a few thoughtfully placed picnic tables, a few baseball, and soccer fields. I also noticed that this place is home to a busy skateboard park right beside a well-kept playground. My pan of the scene had revealed to me that this place has grown into something more than what I had remembered it to be. Today this center welcomes people of all ages. In contrast, when the U.S. Air Force ran this facility it was for military personnel and their adult dependents. It was a simple gymnasium with a couple of minimally groomed baseball diamonds and multipurpose fields, lacking any beauty. Today, the sturdy old building and surrounding fields are a beautiful sight to behold, and maintained by a local community services organization. The quick survey of the sports center had reminded me that this place is still serving the community in a big way with its available venues and activities.…

One unmistakingly characteristic I have is a disability that makes me hobble around on a crutch and my limbs are supported by a iron frame. But my health is in good condition even though I am so poor. I am kind and loving because people help carry me around so I have to be nice to them or they won't let me sit on their back and get places quicker so I don't hobble around on a…

It was a huge white building with red big letters SOLCA (Society that Fights Against Cancer in Ecuador). Angels dressed in white called nurses and doctors were there, ready to fight along with you, women coming and going. The process to treat cancer is not an easy one, it is painful, my body got weak; it seemed I was worse each time. The feeling that I would not recover invaded my heart and my mind. Some days I felt just fine, others strong enough to get out and conquer the world, but for the most part of the time, I felt awful and pathetic. However, on the funny side, I did not have to go to work, not to be concerned about looking beautiful everyday, not to worry about the hairstyle, those were perks for me as a woman, I had enough on…

I hadn't been feeling like myself. I was nine years old and I had been visiting my neighborhood pediatrician's office very frequently, but apparently nothing was wrong. Then one day, I woke up and realized that I had a bump on my neck; I didn't think much of it but I showed my mom anyways. She then immediately took me to the hospital. In the cab ride to the hospital, all I could think about was what was wrong with me as I looked at the buildings zooming out of sight.…

I first met Alex Pekker a few years back while in high school. He was a teacher at my school. I didn’t get to know him until I went out for the bowling and tennis team and he turned out to be the coach for both teams. I looked up to him and enjoyed playing on his teams. So I decided to interview him so I could learn more about his childhood and how he grew up.…

The misty September air froze against my skin; at least, it felt like it did. As we walked along the river, I debated the effectiveness of a faking an injury. Perhaps, then we would finally take a break. Although, It is far more likely we would continue to shuffle on, herded by orange traffic cones and dreary-eyed volunteers. Even now, years later, I still marvel at the fact the race starts at 8:00 AM. Whoever supplied the idea must not have recognized the pain it would cause my nine year-old self. Nevertheless, as we marched through downtown Portland, I felt a distinct similarity to the toy soldiers my brother had been so fond of. While we were disorganized and reckless, we walked quietly, with a common urgency. The comparison could also…

When you were younger, has anyone asked you what you wanted to be when you got older? Whether it was a teacher, doctor, lawyer, police officer, engineer or even a firefighter, we all have a dream or desire to be and to do great when we get older. Edward E. Rosenbaum once said: “Doctors are great – as long as you don’t need them.” This quote is not necessarily true; A human being will always need some type of doctor in their life regardless of if they live a healthy lifestyle or not.…

Who would have thought that such a little booklet could contain such personal and accurate information about each individual’s personality simply by filling in bubbles to answer simple multiple-choice questions? Upon first glance, I thought that “The Keirsey Temperament Sorter” would never be able to correctly depict my personality. However, I still managed to fill out the questionnaire in a careful and truthful manner despite my convictions. After taking the personality questionnaire, my results showed my personality type falling under the category “Idealist” as an ESFP. To my surprise, I found this to be quite similar to how I would describe my own personality type. By further research, I determined that ESFP actually stands for extraversion, sensing, feeling and perceiving. The description described an ESFP as a friendly person who helps others enjoy life. Also, it stated that they tend to make warm and enthusiastic friends and are more likely to pay attention to details and value a realistic approach to solving problems. Taking into my major in nursing at MSU, I decided to research if this would fit my ESFP personality type. After reading the ESFP description more thoroughly it gave several career suggestions such as nursing, child care, restaurant work, sales and counseling. Also, it mentioned that ESFP’s look for a job that is fun and prefer to work with others in groups.…
