Personal Statement On Honor
I am writing to you in regards of my placement in English for the 2017-2018 school year. I am widely familiar with Honor classes and the curriculum following this form of advanced learning. Throughout my academic career, I have consistently maintained a GPA of 3.8 or higher. I was able to succeed in these classes due to my ambitious attitude and eagerness to learn. I believe participating in another Honors class would improve my chances at becoming a more successful student.

For my Junior year at SWCTA, I wish to be placed in English 11 Honors. I believe I am qualified to participate in Honors because I hold full confidence in my academic abilities. I believe I hold hardworking, punctual, and flexible traits that will allow me to succeed

    I know that admission into the Schreyer Honors College is not necessary for me to gain study abroad and internship opportunities, however, I am aware that these are hallmarks of many Schreyer Scholars. I can promise that I am driven to take part in these opportunities and will do anything necessary to make these happen for me.     Why I Want to Join the Honors Program

    The Honors Program grabbed my attention because it’s for academically outstanding students and I am that student. Throughout my years of high school, I have taken Advanced Placement and Honors classes and have done very well in them. Being average is not okay for me, I want to do my best and reach my fullest potential in everything I do. I like being challenged mentally and that is exactly what the Honors Program will do for me.
