While attending Lewis & Clark College I will foster my passion for nature, environmental advocacy, and politics. Participating in things like the Environmental Living Learning Community will provide an engaging and enriching space to form long-lasting connections with people who share the same desire to promote environmental sustainability. Portland and the beautifully wooded campus at Lewis & Clark provide the type of natural environment that inspires my initiative for environmental advocacy. I look forward to exploring the opportunities near and within Portland, including the many hiking trails. The outdoors have been an important part of my life since childhood. I know now that many great minds and people went to a small town to a great college that has served many purposes threw out its…

White, the pioneer that had the vision and drive to create the foundation we are all apart of today, deserves a tremendous amount of credit. The mission, vision, and values of LLU encompasses the thoughts and theories that Ellen G. White built the empire known as LLU upon. With rushing trains, crammed people, the calm breeze of a park or the gusts of a subway, NYU is no conventional college with its unique campus but I’m no conventional girl. While beginning my college search I resented how isolated a lot the campuses I was looking at were. Why would want to go out to the middle of nowhere to learn, only to assimilate back into the real world after four years? I want to be in the middle of the action. I want New York. I want NYU.…

I began high school with the mentality of following a biomedical engineering track through college, although I was unaware of what the engineering field entailed. I realized engineering failed to strike a chord as I could not see myself being passionate about the career. Fortunately, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and apply to a program at the Kelley School of Business. What started as a curious interest in business soon resulted in a fresh outlook of the range of careers that would allow me to make an impact if I pursued it through the business track at New York University.…
