Personal Statement: My Experience For Industrial Engineering
Ever since I fascinated mechanical engineering, I came to realize how important the way of finding raw components to make a product or service. But I always imagine the art of manufacturing behind it and awe the people and machineries involved in the job. My fascination for Industrial Engineering began during my sophomore year when I went to my first industrial visit to Carborundum Universal, I found some answers to my curiosity. But it never satisfied my curiosity. Then I questioned how these works, process, machines, workers and hierarchy of orders involve. How these companies know what to do? When to do? And how all of the process were organized and predetermined in that factory. So I jaw struck on how …show more content…

Breaking down my leadership qualities and traits and what kind I am the first thing that always comes to mind, is that I am one who still has a lot to learn and many skills to develop. Yes, I know that all of that will come with time but it remains a lingering thought letting me know that there is always room for constant improvement. That being said I would like to consider myself as a transactional leader. I greatly enjoy getting involved and checking in to ensure things are getting done right when the occasion calls for it. To include the added bonus of handing out rewards to the individuals that worked day in and day out to uphold and meet or exceed the standards I set and agree with them on.…

Leadership… I always try my best to obtain as many leadership positions as possible, of course, with the assurance that I can handle them all. I can always be critical and say it's pretty obvious I have leadership qualities just because I'm class president, but as a leader I try not to think of it as just a title. A leader should be one that is more constructive and less critical. A critical person may think there has got to be a better way to do something, but a constructive person knows what that "Better way" might be. A leader can best be described as, responsible, successful, and resourceful. When it comes to showing good leadership I think I can truly live up to it, because of the positions I uphold.…

The first leadership principle that will be discussed is one that was first thought to me through Drill Instructors training us for PFT’s and CFT’s or whenever we would feel like giving up. That leadership principle is “know yourself and seek self improvements”. This principle was always an important one; it meant that there is always something you can do to make yourself better. It involves knowing your strength and weakness’ and working on making them better. Knowing ones strength and weakness is the basis of formulating a reliable, bullet proof strategy that will get you in and out of any situation. For example the recent evens that occurred have made me look deeper into this principle, into my character, into my ability to improve myself more on the maturity domain.…
