I still remember that the classroom was as quiet as a graveyard. When I was sitting in …show more content…

Chemistry is the science on which the future relies; research is continually opening up new opportunities for the chemical industry. My passion to make a difference can be achieved through the paths of catalyst design, pharmaceuticals, Medicines, bio-fuels and polymer chemistry. Any one of these routes will provide me with new challenges; in Chemistry there is always something new for me to discover. My infatuation for science began when my high school teacher introduced me to Chemistry by demonstrating a simple reaction of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, causing me to question the reasons for the effervesce and the acid-base reaction. It was this demonstration of a simple decomposition that sparked my interest in Chemistry. It was not just the demonstration that interested me; it was the desire to understand how and why.I am currently studying A-Levels at The Manchester College, in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and AS-Level in Further Maths and my ability to cope with this busy schedule shows I am able to cope well under pressure. In my January exam modules last year, I achieved three A grades in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I am enjoying the breadth and depth of my A-Level studies and relish the freedom to work more independently. I have found that sixth-form study offers great scope for reading around my subjects and free periods give me the opportunity to work on solutions to problems before asking for any support or advice from my tutors. My love of science and aspiration for a Chemistry career is reflected in my A-Level choices where good time management, self motivated study skills and ability to cope with stress and pressure are essential. Chemistry and Physics have helped me further my interest and develop my analytical skills, Maths helps my problem solving skills and helps me to work logically. I believe all the qualities I have developed through my courses are essential for any good chemists. I enjoy reading, mainly factual books to…

Machines and technology are the two combinations that push my childhood imagination to the limit where no walls are in front of my imagination. I realise my interest in engineering started to grow strong as my father himself was always surrounded with machines. With my interest specifically aiming towards a new invention, I started to become envious of the world as some of my dreams had already been invented by someone else, like the usage of an electrical car powered up totally by a rechargeable battery that uses nature itself to harness energy. I wish to become a mechanical engineer as it will allow me to make my dreams come true. Learning is a process of working as I am targeting to finish up my studies fast until I get a degree and then start to take a job and form a team of researchers to invent things.…

I strongly intend to be a computer engineer. I am inspired by many successful people that had graduated in Computer Engineer at Chulalonkorn University. Witnessing those famous graduates devoting their knowledge to country and to the world has encouraged my decision that this is the right place as much as I am the right perspective student. My inspiration has become even more intensified since I worked as a trainee of Android Programming Development Section at Opendurian Company. Being a growing expert in computing would enable me to solve complex computer problems rarely ever solved and may launch innovations to make changes to the world. I am very confident that my computer company which I plan to begin after my graduation from the faculty to run with the engineering grounding would help me explore all opportunities beyond boundaries. And indeed Chulalongkorn is my first university choice.…

“Accounting is like a puzzle.” You have to analyze every aspect of a job before making a decision. My first accounting professor told me if you are good at problem solving, you can be great at accounting. It was hard to find his reasoning at first, but after choosing to take his accounting course, I realized what he meant. You need logic; everything has a set direction and technique. Each piece of an accounting job is placed carefully and has a high significance amongst its environment. You need analytical skills. Take apart every piece of information you receive on a job and use it to make your own conclusions in order to put all the pieces back together in a form that makes sense.…
