Personal Statement: A Career As A Case Worker
My current plan is to graduate with a bachelor’s in Social Work and become a state case worker and eventually work my way into a master’s in Social Work to further my career as a case worker. I’m also considering a bachelor’s with a major in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. With that degree, I work in a prison as a forensic case manager while I worked toward my master’s and then PhD in forensic psychology. After I complete my doctorate in forensic psychology, I’ll be a criminal profiler.
With both social work and forensic psychology, the overall goal is to help people. As a state case worker I’d help children and/or the elderly in unhealthy situations get into much better places, it would be my job to advocate for them. A forensic case manager helps rehabilitate people as they leave prisons, in that case I’d advocate for them. In both careers my job would be to give people the best possible chance in life. A criminal profiler would help find and prosecute criminals while also protecting people who need help or unlikely to be a repeat offender.

While I was a sophomore in high school, I planned and organized a youth activity to help elderly neighbors with house and yard work. Later that year I was also inducted into the National Honor Society, which I remain in throughout the rest of high school. After high school and I once I was settled, I started the process of becoming a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Utah. I’m a mentor to a eleven-year-old girl, though our relationship is still rather new, we spend time together a few times a month and we will continue to for at least a year, if not for much more than

One of the proudest accomplishments of my life was earning my college degree. Although toward the end of my undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice, a major life event pointed me in another direction. That direction had lead toward counseling and I began independently studying psychology and behaviors. Moreover, I became fascinated with the human mind and it’s abilities. The knowledge I acquired during that time became useful in my home and in the workplace by helping my step-son and gaining the trust of my clients.…

I hope you all are well. I originally sent out a letter asking for participants to be mentors in a project that I am expanded on from which I started back in 2009. I am a liitle surprised and disappointed in the lack of response of mentors for the project. I realize as professionals, many of you have programs and organizations that you all partner up with and do certain thing with to help the children but i have to honestly ask you if what you're doing is it a once a year thing for publicity or is it something that it's actually making a difference in sometimes life. I'm not taking about buying sometime a back pack for the first day of school and never knowing if they even go to school, or getting them a uniform a and you don't even know what school they do to our feeding the children and they are too engaged to pull out their isn't buyer and jelly sandwich next to sometime else chick file a. I'm talking about a keeping up with someone when the spotty light is off, the camera crew had left, when a school year is almost up and that child's is struggling to past the next assignment, when they are so distracted by social media and you can take out a few seconds of your busy schedule and say, hey kiid, I'm just checking on you to make sure your ok, making sure your still good on your grades, attendance and still working toward your career goals. Is there anything I can help you with? Just a simple meager like that to reach out each month to stay connected to your mentee. I'm asking if you can take out the time to join in with me for this purpose. I originally stated with the goal of housing this event on September 6, I've had to reschedule it for several reasons. You wouldn't believe all the word things that has tried to keep me from doing this event from people bashing out in me, greedy agents, sponsors sending fraud cashier checks, venue over booking, all kinds of madness. But what has mad me strive to do this event is not only am i using…

I am currently employed as a Caseworker in the unaccompanied youth at Leake and Watts Services. As well, I am doing my internship in the clinical department for the same agency. However, there has been an increment of children from other parts of the world, like Pakistan, Mexico, Ecuador, Romania and the Dominican Republic. I would like to apply for Special Assistant. I work well with others, but am also self-motivated and can get things done without someone constantly reminding me what I need to do. I am the president of the Zero Waste club, and an honor student. I take pride in everything I do, and strive to go above and beyond what is expected from me. Working well with others along with good communication is a strong suit of mine. In soccer I am center defense (sweeper), so I have to tell the outside defenders who their mark is, and make sure the other team does not get past us. In tennis I play doubles, so I constantly communicating to the other player to make sure one of us has the ball, or to tell them that it is out so they do not have to work as hard.…
