Personal Reflective Essay
My motivation for being in school is I want to be able to give my kids a good life. I want them to have the things that I wasn’t able to have when I was growing up. I don’t want them to ever have to worry about not having new school clothes, new shoes, or the toys that they want. I don’t believe I will be able to help them much with a minimum wage job. That is where college comes in. With a good degree, I will be able to have that extra money for my children and I will be able to create a good life for myself and my family. Going to school on top of everyday life can be challenging, especially if you have children. Thankfully Community Care College offers online classes so you can go to school from home. It is an effective way to learn on your own time and it’s an easier way to learn for people who have small children. My biggest challenge after college will be getting a job and having to find a way to get my kids to and from school/daycare, to be able to get myself to work on time and to be able to get off work on time to pick them up before the school and daycare closes. The daycare has a way to pick up my two kids from school to take them to the daycare which is a major plus. Thankfully I have my husband to help with that as well. My future career plan is to become an expert in my career field. I want to be able to learn new things and to make a difference at my job. I want to have the dedication and the motivation to gain more experience, learn new skills, and grow along with the company. My uplifting advice would be that things happen for a reason and the struggles I am having are not as big as they seem. I need to trust this process because everything is working out in my favor and they are making me stronger. If I think negatively then I will have a negative outcome. You must always believe that things will work out for the best so you will get a positive outcome.
