Personal Philosophy Of Teamwork
I believe in teamwork. I believe that teamwork shows how determined, dedicated, and diligent a person can be and their expression to becoming something significant other than themselves. I believe that teamwork is an incredible entity that allows several people to accomplish things that one mind may not be able to do. Like what Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
Unity is our greatest strength. I have learned a lot from my past experiences that for teamwork to work, the individuals in the team must communicate well and learn to work together. If one person does not carry throughout, the team fails to succeed. You can have strong chains attempting to hold something up, but if one of those links in

teamwork. Ever since I was little, my parents would always involve me in many sports, one of which was soccer. Back when I used to live in New Jersey, I played soccer with my closest friends and together we formed something that was truly unforgettable. That day, during our game into the championships, the opposing team was winning by a landslide. Although fear and adrenaline were running through our bodies, we huddled up and each gave motivational remarks to one another to encourage us to bring our game on. As we drew out our hands in the center, we chanted and cheered. Running back onto the field, the game started. We began using strategy and teamwork to pass the ball one player to another swiftly. Later on the game, the ball was passed to me and I ended up scoring the winning point towards the end. Our team was so ecstatic and overjoyed that we ran to hug each other and jump happily. That experience of my life was one that I will never forget because teamwork was solely the main asset that carried our team to the winning championships.
Teamwork is in our everyday lives, even if we may not know it or not. Teamwork does not only apply to sports, but many different things as well; take ants for example. All alone, one ant is seen as inferior and subordinate. But together, they work effectively and efficiently to provide for their colony as a whole. Their success and determination for the goal is all seen through teamwork. Every ant knows their role and position that they play and all equally carry out their work faithfully. Coming together as a team is a start, staying as a whole is a process, and achieving goals together is a

Teamwork is defined in Webster's New World Dictionary as "a joint action by a group of people, in which each person subordinates his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group." This does not mean that the individual is not important anymore, but, it does mean that effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishments. When it comes to teamwork, most people will consider teamwork in terms of being part of a baseball, basketball, or football team. In contrast, a team is “really just a group of people who use their skills, experience, and knowledge to work toward a common goal” (Beverly K. Bachel, 2007). Teams working together in the workplace are extremely productive and profitable. Teams working together increase problem-solving skills and innovation, quality, and decrease turnover and absenteeism. (Scarnati, J 2006) Teams have an overall high success rate when well structured and the communication between the team members stays open throughout the project. A team is a collection of individuals who have gathered to achieve the same…
