Personal Narrative: Who Was The Only Survivor?
It had been six years since the accident had happened. The sky filled with dark gray clouds. After searching for anyone I could, I had come to the conclusion that I was the only survivor. I was not alone but what was on this planet was not humans. Seeing the faces of my friends but knowing it wasn’t them inside was the hardest pain to cope with. As the lonely days went by, survival was no longer a way of life, it was the way to live. From time to time I have flashbacks of what life was like before the accident. The final glimpse of my family was before I fell into a coma. The mysterious feeling I had when I woke up realizing that no one was in the room. No sign of a doctor. No sign of family. Also, the silence of the hospital made me feel

Screams of excruciating pain interrupted my slumber. Springing up from my sleeping bag, I looked in the direction where I heard the continued sounds of agony, broken bones, and ripping flesh. Quickly scanning the gym with my eyes, I saw that five of Kristine’s survivors became runners. In the bleachers, three of runners dugged their teeths into the survivor’s necks, faces, shoulders, who were lying peacefully and unexpected in their sleeping bags. In the middle of the gym’s basketball court, two more runners’ yanked meat and muscles from survivor’s faces, as the survivors attempted to fight back, however their attempts were useless, the runner’s strength over powered theirs. As one runner, in the middle of the gym, swallowed a survivor’s nose,…

Following the quote, the film “Lone Survivor” was played. The film focused on a group of Navy SEALs, including one named Marcus, who are going into Afghanistan in order to kill the Taliban leader. The Taliban leader is responsible for killing over twenty US Marines as well as people who had allegedly helped or aided the United States. When facing the Taliban, the Navy SEALs are outnumbered and several are killed. Back-up is called, although when that fails, more Navy SEALs are killed. Marcus remains as the last Navy SEAL alive on the mission, or a “lone survivor”, and is rescued by a villager. The villager takes Marcus into his home and prevents the Taliban from killing him. The villager does this as Marcus is a guest in his home, meaning the…

A search of Derrick Robinson’s cell phone was done and at 4:46 a.m. an incoming call was received from (910) 644-7834. The phone number was checked through several Police data bases with negative results. I then searched the phone number through Facebook and learned it was assigned to a J-Rock Ru. I then attempted to see if this was the same J-Rock that went to Emily Hamlin residence on the night of the Homicide.…

As my younger cousin, Travis, walked into the living room of my house, he looked for interesting things he could look at and touch. He started to slowly walk toward the broken, bottom half of our entertainment center. My siblings and I, enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner, watched him carefully as he curiously reached for a handle of one drawer in the entertainment center that contained at least 50 movies. He was so close to opening it when my brother exclaimed, “Careful there! The last guy who did that… he died!” Travis slowly backed away, turned around, and ran to his mother, but the real question is Who died?…

In sixth grade, I stood before a podium that stared back at my English class. This was not how I envisioned sharing my love for reading and writing; however, it was required. My palms felt sticky, and I just knew that the entire class could see my heart as it was about to hop from the walls that kept it safe. I prayed that I would not forget the lines as I recited The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. In sixth grade, reading, writing, and I started a relationship. Today, we have yet to break up.…

Any four people? Huh. My first instinct is rather selfish and probably very cliche - my Grandmother. She died when I was eight and was easily my favorite person. I'd give anything to talk to her one more time, to play piano with her one more time. I would ask her if she was proud and if she thought I was making the right decisions because I've been feeling... I suppose lost would be the closest thing I can think to describe it. Her soothing voice and advice would be a God-send, if only I could have it. With my personal needs out of the way- let's get down to business, shall we?…

In the final song “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story,” it matters who tells the story because that is the person who controls how one see’s or perceives history. After one dies all that is left is the story that someone tells about them. The story being told about them, could be manipulated and leave either a good or bad reputation. A persons story is told after they die and all that is left are their events and changes they have made. The song ends with the lyrics “Who tells your story?” which makes the listener question the good deeds that are to be done in order to have a great story left after they die. In the Hamilton Musical, Hamilton is the person who dies and Eliza is the one who lives and tells his story. In the end Hamilton’s…

The relevance of this film to our present lesson in Biology is the life of every person who died during and after the plane crash. People who survived the day after the plane crash weren't able to adapt to the cold environment at the Andes Mountains that’s why some of them died few days later. Instead of traumatizing themselves, they immediately respond to the incidence by building a shelter for all of them and thinking of other ways on how to get out of there. Food scarcity led to survivors’ starvation. Without food, they became weaker and weaker until they die. They don’t have source of energy for life process. Because of their loss of energy, they can’t do anything, like sex, rather than to survive, survive, and survive. Due to their catabolism, they fed on the dead passengers who had been preserved in the snow. Others refused but agreed afterwards because they chose to live.…

I looked at the speedometer and felt my heart leap as I went 110 miles per hour down the highway. I began to slow down, but as I did the sheriff passed me. After realizing that he wanted me to follow, I sped up once more and kept up with him. He kept his lights and sirens on as I followed him into Garden City, keeping up our same speed and only slowing enough to turn at a stoplight. We finally made it to the hospital.. It smells like linoleum, sickness, and blood. As I walked those halls to the emergency room it dawned on me like a punch to the throat that I could lose the last brother I had left. I might’ve lost the man who read me stories and taught me how to tie my shoes. Who comforted me after nightmares and always had my back. I’d lose him and it wouldn’t have even been his time yet. It wouldn’t be fair for him to lose his life at the age of 25 when he’d just bought a…
