When My Dog Ran Me Over

Have you ever been ran over by your dog? Well if not then you can just listen to my story. I was about five years of age when this tragedy happened. My mom, dad, sister, and some other family members were at my house. I was just playing around with my dog like a normal kid. My cousins, Buster my dog, and I were just playing tag. I don’t remember who was it, but I’m guessing Buster thought it was him.
I was trying to outrun him down the driveway, but it wasn’t working. I was really scared. He tackled me down the driveway. I was trying to get Buster off of me, but it wasn’t working. I was screaming like a little girl. My parents heard me and got Buster off of me.
My cousins said, “I didn’t know what to do.” I was really hurt. My mom took me inside and got me all bandaged up. I really started regretting trying to outrun Buster. He was a pretty big dog, so it really hurt.

I was hoping we could keep playing, but that was the end of that day. My cousins said, “It looked like you face planted.” I just laughed. That’s the story of when my dog ran me over. That day I learned don’t let dogs think you’re playing around or else it’ll probably end bad for

POW! Right smack in my forehead leaving a dent and a gash right in my skull. The metal baseball bat swooped around and made hard contact with my skull. It was a warm sunny day in the middle of the summer. Joey, my brother, was hitting tennis balls over my house. Little 10 year old I was playing in the yard. My brother (who had more brains than I have had) purposely pushed me far away so he wouldn’t hit me while he was swinging. Oh how I was a stupid little kid. I was so intrigued by that darn bat and ball going over the house I just had to get a closer look. I started wandering over to him, like how not knowing little kids do. As I approached my brother, he was so convene on himself that he did not see me. When I finally reached him, he had…

My family dog is a hairless Chinese Crested named Sid. He is a gray, white, and black dog with no hair except on his head, paws, and the tip of his tail. We rescued Sid 8 years ago from Detroit, Michigan. His owners left him outside in the freezing cold when they moved away. They abandoned him. Adopting Sid changed my life forever. By caring for him, I have learned loyalty, responsibility, love, compassion, and patience. These are traits I see and feel within him as well. I believe animals mirror God’s hope and love for us. For example, God wants us to forgive others who have done us harm. Sid has forgiven his original owners by moving beyond the shy and fearful dog he was when we first brought him home. He is a happy and joyful dog now.…

The first step of getting my dog began we went to the rescue to take dogs out on walks which I really wanted to do. While we were there I saw on a flyer, my soon to be dog without knowing it, a dog as cute as a baby bunny. It turns out, I was not old enough to walk the dogs, which was like emotionally being hit by a truck. I had to just walk while my mom walked the dogs, which was okay. My mom got more involved with the rescue, and one day while I was at school she was washing dogs, and the dog from the flyer was scared and ducked…

It was a perfectly normal Saturday night, until I sat on the couch. I expected to enjoy a funny movie with my dad, but instead I got a trip to the hospital. I sat on the couch, and then I felt a sting in my elbow. At first, it felt like I got a shot at the doctor, but it slowly got worse, and felt more like a knife slicing into my elbow. I winced and sprung up from the couch. I squinted and my eyes scanned the spot where I just sat down. Aha, I thought. There was a small piece of plastic, and it looked like it broke off from a container.…

I was walking home after a long day of school when I saw it. A dog charging towards me barking at me. I started to run not thinking about all those articles that had constantly told me not to run when being chased by a dog. I ran as fast as I possibly could with a 6-pound backpack on me and a heavy laptop my mother had gotten me for Christmas.I could feel how close it was getting, practically almost biting my ankles. When I decided the best idea was to throw my laptop at the dog and run as fast as I could away from it.I did exactly that and hit the dog with my laptop and run away.I got to my house and was welcomed by nobody. My mother wasn't home and I was all alone. I reached into my pocket to grab my phone to call when I realized my phone…
