Personal Narrative: The Whole World Of Acting
I have always felt inspired and consumed by the whole idea of acting, the whole world of acting. I have managed to find interests in other things such as poetry and singing, but at the end of it all, the thing I definitely most passionate about is acting.
To me, acting alone, is not just how we perceive the world, I feel like it goes beyond that and touches us on issues, we may struggle to understand. Acting gives us the opportunity to use our imagination to our own expense, whilst creating something that perpetuates the story behind it.
During my training on the acting diploma so far, I have discovered that I really enjoy devising play. The reasons behind this is because I believe it touches upon the issues, surrounding social media and

Now this is where I`m supposed to write “all about me”. This is where I become lost. I mean, come on. I wouldn`t know where to start. But I guess the best way to have an idea what makes me tick and what ticks me off is by checking my journal that i fill with endless ramblings about whatever and whoever catches my fleeting fancy or rage. :)…

With my head still in the clouds from the morning adventure, the bonus that was to come that evening would ensure that my head would stay there. The hotel check-in was still a few hours away, but the drive back to Santa Barbara and a leisurely lunch would make the timing almost perfect. As perfect as the day had been thus far.…

I am inspired by those that act because the actors are challenging themselves and playing a role that they had most likely never played before. As the audience, I am absorbed into the characters’ world and how the little mannerisms of each character complete the play as a whole. I am an absolute fanatic for theatrical performances, whether it be a play, musical, or dance. I think that performers have to express themselves effortlessly, unbeknownst to the audience. By experiencing it firsthand through pit orchestra, I was fully able to appreciate how much time was put into the preparation of of a performance. As a student at Wellesley, I will be frequenting the musicals and plays performed by the theater because the fine arts is what fuels my imagination. Also through participating in pit, I learned that many, many hours are put into creating a fantastic, emotion-wrought performance. It is not just the actors that create the atmosphere, it is also the musicians. Along with the actors and possibly the music, there are more people that put the time into making the play “perfect”, something that the audience usually does not know or does not see. For this reason, I am very excited to learn that there is a theater (aka a place to watch plays/musicals/perform as a pit member) because whether I…

Walking into the locker room about to get ready to go to our last football game of the season. I could smell the sweaty equipment from the kids who never take their pads home. The Hempfield Spartans 7th grade team would be ending their season 0-7 if we didn’t win today. As I was changing into my pads my friend mike walked in the room. I said “you ready for tonight”. “Heck yeah” replied Mike.…

“205, 341, 201, 210, and 372 please come back onto the stage.” 210, that’s me. I was frozen, I could feel the countless pairs of eyes beating down on me. I felt a hand push me forward, probably Cristina. I quickly glance around the stage, seeing if there was anyone I knew. My eyes spot Emily, center left stage, a smile plastered on her face. I immediately change my expression of fear into a confident smile. ‘Always smile with your eyes,’ my teacher’s advice replays in my head. Bill’s loud, cheesy voice soon filled the room.…

The social-emotional domain is most of interest to me. As Humans we interact pretty much throughout our lives, our emotions often play a large role on how we develop socially and how that ties to our emotions. From birth we gradually start to develop these relationships with the people around us. Over time this process of learning to communicate, share, and interact with others takes many years to develops. We continue to develop these skills into our teenage years, and even as young adults. So with that I do believe that the development in this domain is mostly a continuous one.…

In chapter 12, the key event to me was when Claudia and Finn talked to each other through the keys. I felt many emotions when reading their interaction one of them being happy. I felt happy when they talked to each other because it was a turning point in the story in my opinion. I also felt surprised because at first, I thought by having two keys, there would be a lock that would need both keys to hear and speak to each other. I also felt confused by the way they conversed; How could they now hear each other but not before. I think by having one key being touched, the other key can hear because on page 153 Claudia says she breathed and rubbed on the key making it warm and on page 154 Finn says when he touches the key it's warm.I like the way the author wrote the scene from both perspectives, it gave us the readers a clearer understanding of how both Finn and Claudia felt. I also like how the author described the way both keys affect each other and have a "key" connection.…

At the age of only 4, I wanted to be like Queen Latifah. I say this because an actor/actress takes a huge part in the world. Without actors we wouldn’t have entertainment to watch. The history of film began in the 1890s, when motion picture cameras were invented and film production companies started to be established. Which is a perfect example of entertainment playing a big role in all actors’ life. We would have so much unemployment if there was no more acting.…

When on stage or simply performing in front on an audience, I feel a great sensation that allows me to feel free and express myself both in body and in mind. The opportunity to play a fictional character has helped me to understand and convey emotions and states of mind more clearly as well as being able to portray any kinds of characters. Being a part of something so exciting and bursting with energy is one of the many things that make me happy, so I’m willing to work as hard as it takes to get me where I know I need to be.…

My love for expression has led me to much success in my everyday life. Of course that an unlimited knowledge of writing would be impressive, but to me it would mean so much more. Writing has been like a getaway from all my problems, but in a way it has also been the solution. When I write, it feels as if I was telling the story of my life. I present myself with a problem that I am facing and make up and ending to the story as the solution to my problem. My ability to write touching essays has earned me much praise from teachers throughout my educational years. Having more talent and all the rules of writing at my disposal would be like an expressionist dream come true. This power would allow me to become a writer for the world and I would…

After retaking the LASSI I have noticed a considerable amount of improvement as well as regression. In the beginning of the year, I vowed to myself that I would become a better student. I wanted to maximize all of my abilities in order to be successful. So, after I took my first LASSI and had my talk with Mac, I began to implement new strategies meant to help me accomplish my goal. First I had to deal with my anxiety. In past years I suffered with a lot of anxiety while learning math. I used to love math very much, however, this changed after my 6th grade year. Math became a foreign subject to me. I could no longer make connections and solve problems. As a result, my grades in math began to drop. As a person who is used to getting A’s and B’s on assignments, I had a difficult time in coping with my failure since it didn’t live up to my standards in the subject of math. My difficulty with math eventually caused me to have anxiety. I had carried this anxiety until my sophomore year in high school. It seemed as if no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on math tests my mind would always become blank. Luckily I had an…
