Personal Narrative: The Only Thing In This Whole Presidential Race
This whole presidential race has been something. To be specific it has been something I have hated. Politics is probably the only thing in this world that I feel such a hatred for. I don't hate it because of the outcome of the election, I hated it before that. The reason I hate it is because it just turns everyone against each other and it just causes negativity.

Negativity would be seen everywhere before the election. It was shown at the fountain when people would write in chalk who they do or do not like. If someone would write Trump someone else would write something vulgar around it; the same would happen with Hilary. If someone would wear a Trump shirt they would receive hate. If someone would wear a Hilary shirt,

The 2016 presidential election will take place this November and with it brings a sense of renewal for some, and dread for others. Elections generate lots of hype, particularly because having a new president in office is generally exciting due to the ‘new’ factor. The excitement varies from good to bad, and this pattern is pretty consistent with past elections. There are certain outliers, however. One of the more recent elections, the election of 2000, caused a massive controversy, predominantly due to the circumstances surrounding how popular votes and electoral votes were counted. The presidential candidates came down to Al Gore and George W. Bush. This election served as a reminder to many that having the popular vote does not necessarily…

After talking to co-workers about this topic, since I was 14 during the 2004 election, I received the information that candidates in the 2004 election were less aggressive when it came to attacking people and focused more on “why you should vote for me” instead of the 2008 election where it became “why you shouldn’t vote for them”. This seems like a strong reason why people would vote differently because all they are seeing is “yes, I agree with his stance on that topic but he really did that”. It becomes who can shoot more bullets in the other person’s head first wins.…

Walking into the locker room about to get ready to go to our last football game of the season. I could smell the sweaty equipment from the kids who never take their pads home. The Hempfield Spartans 7th grade team would be ending their season 0-7 if we didn’t win today. As I was changing into my pads my friend mike walked in the room. I said “you ready for tonight”. “Heck yeah” replied Mike.…

There used to be a time when presidential candidates of all parties were well respected by each other and the citizens of the United States. It is like our society wants to see people fail and is only attracted to the negative. It seems that neither of these candidates are respected on any platform, and the whole campaign is full of hate. This is a terrible representation of our country to children, and is an embarrassing portrayal to other countries. The election is not some game where there is a ‘winning’ and ‘losing’ side, but this is to determine…

The 2016 Presidential Election was easily the most negative Election in recent history. Apart from my policy disagreements with President Elect Trump, I am morally repulsed by his conduct. My Hispanic friends were offended by the insinuation a that Mexican immigrants were criminals and a unwanted burden on the United States. My female friends were terrified by his misogyny and open, joking (at best) attitude towards sexual assault. I was disgusted by his disdain for the environment and the truth.…

Negative campaign has become one of the best strategies for politicians to get to the white house. Every election year we see the typical Democratic versus Republican candidate, attacking each other and saying embarrassing things about each other. Last year was not the exception, and a little worse than the past ones. Other than the main ones Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, we also had Berny Sanders from the Democratic party and Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio from the Republican party, who many of us thought were strong and better candidates.…

The presidential elections in the united states are usually the same as in every other country, but this presidential election has been something else. People on the social media is saying that this election started like any other election, but it has descended slowly into the spiral of the irrelevancy. Many would venture to say it is undeniable that Presidential campaigns and elections is something that is never fun. The amount of money, time, effort, and hard work that goes into everything can make things very demanding. In addition, not knowing if you will be victorious makes things even worse. However, presidential elections can be very jaw-dropping; as is the case with our two candidates currently running against each other. Generally, I would venture to say that no one saw this coming. A presidential race between Trump, and Hilary—two individuals that don’t sit to well with the American People. Furthermore, I believe that it has gotten to a point where if Hilary wins, there will be an uproar; and if trump wins there will be an uproar.…

I am a firm believer that one person can make a whole difference. All actions have a beginning and an end. The beginning starts with an idea followed by an action which gathers momentum to form a movement. Martin Luther King had a dream and started with actions to realize his dream and people followed him to make the dream come true.…
