Personal Narrative: The Key School
Imagine you are a young woman tragically swept away from your soul mate. This sounds familiar doesn't it (Romeo and Juliet). Now imagine your best friend moved and it felt like him or her was just taken away. This also sounds familiar. Now Imagine that your best friend actually moved and you are cast as Romeo or Juliet in a play and you have a better love for the play because you can relate. Also you feel heard and comforted because you feel someone else feels your pain. Acting is one of the most important enjoyable part of my life that helps stay away from life, but at our school there are some challenges that prevent full participation, but there are doable solutions.

Although, this year some kids including me performed in the winter show, we only sang a couple weeks to practise (which is not there fault) and made us only be able to sing 2 songs. Even though there were many that Stevens hall sang. Also in the spring show I understand that we are able to be in the show, but it is difficult to go and audition since it is not as known at key. Plus I believe that Stevens hall has in school practises which makes us lose practise time. One last and most aggravating topic is that the 8th grade show is not welcome to key school, and it is not fair for the 7th and 6th graders that there is only a 8th grade play that the other grades are not allowed …show more content…
My idea for the winter show is that there could be 1 or 2 after school practises. We could have the people in the talents classes stay up from PE for a couple weeks, because every practise counts. My ideas for the Spring show is that someone could come over to audition us and have more convenient practices for key, so we don’t miss out on anything. My idea for the 8th grade play is that we could include the 8th grade key at least and possibly we could have a minute key production.
Acting and theater is important for me and others because it helps us take attention off our troubled lives. There are a few points that we could change or tweak so that everyone is included especially key.
