Personal Narrative: The John Adams Cafe Restaurant
For my entire career, I have traveled far and wide, giving my opinion of the food at a variety of unique, cultural, and astonishing restaurants. Some of my reviews have been fantastic, others atrocious, but the John Adams Cafe Cafeteria was the finest culinary experience I have ever had. As I strolled into the enormous restaurant called the John Adams Cafe Cafeteria, I was immediately impressed. The modern style of the dining area gave an impression of luxury and royalty. A waiter instantly greeted me with a warming welcome, a massive smile on his face, and was jubilant to take my order. The walls were adorned with decorative paintings that probably cost a lot of money. The ceiling was decorated with gigantic golden chandeliers, and the dark wooden floor was superbly polished and cleaned. In the background, lovely jazz music was playing, making the establishment seem classy. I ordered my meal with quickly, and in just ten minutes my food was handed to me on a silver platter, and scooped onto a fancy plate, my drink and silverware off to the side on the polished wooden table. It was time to enjoy.
Inside the silver platter sat an eye catching meal. The beautiful meal was made of a colossal hot ham and cheese sandwich, a romaine salad, eight pieces of broccoli, and a plentiful amount of buttered spaghetti, and a warm coffee cup of aromatic chocolate milk. The very first thing I ate was the hot ham and choose sandwich, which was possibly the highlight of the meal. The white bread was perfectly toasted, crispy, and buttered, creating an intriguing sensation in your mouth. Inside of the sandwich contained

My mouth was bombarded by the exceptional meal. The meal was a perfect blend of ham, cheese, vegetable, and pasta, followed by the pleasing sweetness of the chocolate liquid, more than satisfied my food desires. I highly recommend this top of the line

The clattering of plates and the clicking of heels on a tile floor are the white noise of the restaurant. Kitchen partners rush to get the next salad ready, the next steak cooking. The expeditors keep the restaurant working smoothly, the source of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. A business partner shouts “Corner!” as she rounds the bend between the kitchen and the hallway leading to the general area of the restaurant. Two servers see each other for the first time during their shift and exchange a quick “How are you?” without stopping long enough to hear the reply of their co-worker. A manager explains the goals of the evening to a group of distracted employees in the pass-through, watching a rush of customers enter through the double glass doors. The restaurant lifestyle is a unique discourse with success resulting from the quality of customer service and understanding the value of time-saving efficiency.…

Dr. Wallace loves our restaurants because of our good customer service. On September 29, he chose to take his father and daughters to our Oliver Garden Restaurant at 6410 Grape Road in Mishawaka, Indiana because he knows our service is always up to the standards he expects. Applebee's Evaluation

As my girlfriend and I pull into a crowded parking lot during a chilly Friday evening, we struggle to find a spot of our own, but manage to do so as we take the place of another young couple as they pull out to leave. I put the car in park as we both gaze at the numerous parties walking into the restaurant. A bright sign, hung lit overhead, shining the phrase "Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill" atop a red brick building. Awnings were placed above every window, and resting on the ground, between each window, was a wooden park bench surrounded by lush, green foliage on either side. The whole place looked as if it had been pulled straight from a friendly neighborhood in the heart of the big apple. I knew we had made the right dinner decision even before walking in the large, double doors. Applebee's has always been a favorite of mine. There is rarely ever a wait to be seated and thrown into the laid back, neighborhood atmosphere that they aim to provide. Their service is exceptional, with quick and courteous staff members which you encounter as soon as you walk in. And depending on what you order, you can always count on Applebee's to present you with not just a meal, but an experience for both your eyes and your taste buds.…

I ate the most of the appetizer, and I couldn’t necessarily agree with him about sauce as it made sweeter. He also split a dish between him and my older sister which although had flavor was not that good, I couldn’t give an opinion myself only because I was busy munching away at my dish. As a Chinese-American, my family expected me to help out at the restaurant while maintaining straight A's in school. But, it wasn't easy; every day, I would report to the restaurant after school and immediately start working. Inside the kitchen, I would pack all the orders into aluminum containers, place them into a brown bag, and insert packets of sauces and utensils. Burns and cuts were common due to the terrible and tearable aluminum containers. Outside at the front desk, I would answer the seemingly endless ringing phones. In many instances, customers had to wait either on the phone or at the front desk for me to find their orders on the computer, even after they showed me where it was on the menu. During lunch hours, the pressure was even…

Falk inserts an inordinate amount of her own feelings on the topic and doesn’t analyze the subject as well as she should have. She focuses mainly on the fast food business while lacking in her analysis of fine dining. She also should have made the paper more about what caused the changes in the restaurant business instead of the changes themselves. In the essay Falk has many examples of foods and restaurants that have changed and became noticed for their modern style, such as Panera Bread and Chipotle. She appeals to a large audience by adding examples many people can relate too.…
