Personal Narrative: The Fire Within

Fire Within I hated reading, but in the fourth grade my teacher mislead my parents telling them I was illiterate because I refused to read their stupid book about a velveteen rabbit. I didn’t like reading and refused to do any read in class or for a teacher. After a meeting at the school consisting of my teacher, my parents, and my favorite principal; my mother took me to the school library to get any book I wanted. It took me thirty min. to find a book that I personally wanted to read the first book in The Last Dragon Chronicles, The Fire Within. It had a green dragon’s eye with a scalene shape to it and a tear rolling down its face with a small purple flame imprisoned within as it fell, as if it was flickering the last time.
