29 August 2017 The Emotion of Writing I believe writing is a way to express myself, allow myself to be more creative, and relate to others through writing. If I am writing about something I love or am passionate about, I could write on and on and the thoughts just come naturally to me. For example, in elementary school when the teachers asked us to write personal narratives, it always came easily to me, because I loved telling my own stories and personal experiences. Growing older, I have learned the power of cell phones. I am a teenager of the generation that technology is at its highest demand. I personally own a cell phone and text on it daily. I probably send over 300 text a day. Sometimes It helps me say what I don’t want to say out loud to friends and family. This could be a good and bad thing. Verbal communication is overall better and more effective but I am sure everyone agrees cell phones help in awkward situations. I strongly believe this form of writing connects today’s society in different ways than any other generation. Writing does not just have to be identified as pencil and paper, especially in modern day and age.
As a very creative person, I like to think of myself in ways that challenge me to become more artistic, and the development of my writing throughout the years has been a huge factor in that accomplishment. From my perspective writing is in everything, and has played such a role in my early childhood, and even today. I would like to be thankful for writing, the tough times I have overcame, the only thing I had was the escape of writing, the relief of writing has always told me I could do what I set my mind to, therefore writing could potentially be, the most practical, and life impacting skill that I could
