Personal Narrative: The Ear Of Medicine
“You know the drill Teegan, spread them,” Arnold demanded.
“I’m not going to bring weapons here Arnold,” I explain to him, hating the check through process he used on me.
“On the wall,” he says ignoring me completely.
I turn around and put my hands on the wall, and spread my legs apart and wait. Arnold starts with my legs first, quick and to the point and then my thighs, he then brings his hands up my sides and feels under my breasts, sending a wave of energy towards my stomach. I can never tell if it’s his touch or his ability that makes me feel all tingly inside. He then brushes his hands up my arms, pressing his body firmly onto mine from behind.
“I could pay you for sex Teegan. Might as well get a bang for your buck,” Arnold says as he

I want to do the same thing, but know that my job is now done. I look around then for the jar of medicine Melanie always put out for her willing donors, and saw it on the nightstand. I get up, my knees feeling slightly wobbly as I do, and walk over to the stand to grab the small jar of goo. I immediately open it and start to apply it to both bite wounds.
I then go to the chaise lounge and put my dark shoes on, and then my sweater, I grab my purse and walk over to the door and then look at Melanie her eyes closed and glamour falling back into place. “Have a good night,” I tell her.
She doesn’t say anything though; she never does after feeding on my blood. I open the door and find Arnold walking down the hallway towards me, envelope in hand. He hands it to me, and when I reach to grab it he moves it away from my

I was not going to be in debt to him. Ever. I then look back up to him and nod my head. He then turns around and walks towards the front door and I quickly follow. I’ve always been unnerved that Melanie had an eye reader on the inside of her apartment. It forced me to understand that Melanie really was one of the deadliest beings on Halree.
Less than a minute later, we were back on the first floor, where Arnold handed me my comdev. I watched as he returned to the elevator and then placed it back on my hand, turning it on again. Looking at the time I noticed how late in the night it was. Massaging my neck again, I notice that the marks are still sore, but closing up slowly. The cream Melanie supplied usually healed her bites within four hours, but my skin being more sensitive took quite a bit longer to heal.
Walking out of the parking garage, I head back to the bus stop, avoiding the many shopping windows on the way, knowing that I needed to save my money so I could pay rent, and deposit the savings to the tuition account for Dwigon. I watch other people walk around though while I wait at the bus stop, noticing their smiles and laughter as they talk loudly to each other about what they bought or what they are going to buy next. Materialism was not lost on the people who resided in this

You are probably wondering how I didn’t die after being cooked, but Tara’s mom only cooked me in the microwave at low power, and not for very long. It was a close call for me, but I pulled through. I thought that I was finally free when I entered Tara; I was ready to do my job. I released more toxins when I got in and they bonded to the nerve endings of Tara’s joint muscles. First, I cause my victims to have nausea, vertigo and weakening. Then, I bring upon neurological symptoms like blurred vision, slurred speech and fatigue. My last thing to do is slowly cause paralysis from head to toe, this then brings upon death if not treated early (Clark, n.d.).…

There are two instances in my life that has inspired me to gain interest in medicine. My grandmother when I was around the age of twelve received double bypass surgery and I fell in love with the physician who took care of her. The physician was a middle aged woman who was one of the kindest person I have ever met, and she gave us the news of how everything went fine during surgery. She also gave us great confidence in how my grandmother would return to normal soon. The look on my parents and aunts face when she gave the news gave me goosebumps and to this day I feel the same goosebumps when I think about this. I just wanted to one day be in a position to deliver good news to a family and to see that “look” of relief on their faces. Another…

Sashika agreed with a sigh. She had no other option since his blood was slowly wearing off and her thirst was building up again. She knew that if his blood wears off and there was nothing to replace it, something's bad going to happen. She followed his eyes while he was riffling through the crowd where her eyes stopped at the same man. She gulped as she continued to stare. And while he was pulling her eyes wouldn't set off of the man till Hiroshi grabbed her attention again. "Hai..be careful Hiroshi" She gave a smile just as she noticed his. To be honest she still didn't want to do this. Her smile faded as she watched him go. She took steps backwards till she hit a wall. She looked down on her feet as she wrapped herself with her arms to keep cool while patiently waiting for his return. Her anxiousness grew by every second went past. She straightened up once she heard his footsteps approaching. She stayed at her spot, not moving a muscle except her eyes. Bit her lips while she watched Hiroshi leaving the man and walking towards her, gave her a sigh of relief but she was still uncomfortable. Besides she didn't know how to bite yet alone haunt someone. She relied on Hiroshi a little bit too much. But she knew she ought to do this one day alone. She took his advice and dawdled languidly to the man. As she approached him, she bent down till their heads met. She took a deep breath as she took her pockter knife out making sure Hiroshi can't see it. And as she leaned forward pretending she was going it for a bite she made a small cut on his neck, hid the knife in her sleeve and began on drinking his…
