Personal Narrative: Teen Court
While back I was in a program called "Teen Court". It was a special program that not all kids could go to. Mostly we would go every month . Since we we're there every time. They decided to reward us with a field trip to Castles N' Coasters. But the downside to it was that it was my friend Victorias last field trip.

The people who were involved were Victoria,Katie,,Brianna,Her friend, and I This happened around 6th grade at the end of the year. When we first got there they made us stand in two separate lines just to figure out what we wanted to eat that took us 30 minutes! I will repeat 30 minutes and it wasn't even a lot of kids ,mostly it was this guys fault because he left. Then finally they let us go wherever we wanted to.

My family was very disliked in Andover, and over time he married a woman who did not think that he was worthy of marrying her. Then it happened, they accused him. He was brought to trial as an accused man. They accused him for being a witch because he dabbled in fortune telling when he was a young man. They ended up accusing me, too. It is time for trial.…

I have known Melody for over 10 years. I have watched her grow academically and professionally from a high school student in an International Baccalaureate Scholars program, to someone who is passionate about her career in the law field. As a peer, has been a source of motivation and an example of what hard work and commitment looks like. I remember when she first started working for Legal Aid of North Carolina soon after graduating from college. She started off as a volunteer and invested time with the company for about 3 months before being offered a position. Most graduates would have rather been applying to paid jobs versus making that sacrifice for a company post-graduation. Then, after about a year and a half working at Legal Aid NC as…

“All rise!” the judge booms as he sweeps into the courtroom after a five-minute recess in which I prepare my closing argument. I leap to my feet, heart hammering as he takes his place in the presiding judge’s box. “Okay, you can sit down now,” he says, glancing at me. “Counsel, are you ready to proceed with close?” I nod, button my jacket, and make my way to the center of the courtroom, all the jury members staring at me over their scoring ballots. I take a deep breath and open my mouth. “May it please the court? Ladies and gentlemen, as you’ve heard today from overwhelming evidence…”…

"It was a long, boring day in high school at Maynard Evans in Florida back in 2004, I was sitting in class staring at the green walls that surrounded me. At first, hearing that I’m able to do anything I want with no repercussions sounds amazing, but when I think more and more about it, it doesn’t seem as pleasing. When I begin to think about this concept, I think about things that increases my wealth and stuff that I just want. Of course, it would be fun to break the law for the first couple of times, but after that, it just gets boring and tedious. Not only that, I don’t think I could just do certain things. My morals and the way I grew up wouldn’t allow me. Furthermore, life would be pointless. There wouldn’t be a reward system. For example, I wanted a pair of shoes. My parents didn’t want to buy for me because they didn’t see them as something I needed, so I worked for it. I worked as a…

As a small child I was a big fan of Disney World and Disneyland. I spent several summers at each amusement park with my godparents. My parents surprised me with a special trip. We drove 6 hours to see the Neuschwanstein castle. It was very early in the morning and extremely cold. The castle is built on the top of a mountain. There were two options for getting up the mountain to see the castle, walking or by horse drawn carriage. We took the carriage in hopes that it would be slightly…

8 months prior I landed here in Christmas Island and got sent to the detainment focus. This place is the thing that I envisioned prison to resemble, I will never comprehend why us displaced people are dealt with so inadequately and distinctive contrasted with others living in Australia. We are not much or short of what them, we are equivalent. My family is pulling through and alive, I got a letter from them a week ago. The most joyful minute I have had in quite a while was opening and perusing that letter, I am cheerful I will see them once more. My stay at the confinement focus is practically finished I have under 2 months left. The benefit of opportunity is coming my direction, it won't be long at this point. I try to follower my enthusiasm…

One of my favorite extracurricular activities I participated in was Mock Trial. It consisted of long hours and preparation. I learned scripts, objections, and how to just act in court in general. This year was hilariously disastrous. We had gotten a new coach, and he decided that we needed to do more prep and have less practices, but completely neglected to remember that this year's team comprised of mostly first time participants. He also kept changing everyone's roles. Pretending to be a witness gave me such a thrill, like could I really pull this off? And this year I did, I received compliments from the judge and the other team. I would like to say we won but we didn’t. It is never our goal to win, but to learn from our mistakes. And…

My change from middle school to high school was very scary because high school is a bigger school than middle school. The things about high school that scared me were the hallways, people, and how difficult it was going to be overall. In the middle school there’s wo big hallways, one little band hall, and a tiny gym right outside so it’s not hard to get lost. The high school is a different story there’s two big hallways, classes outside on the hill, the band hall, and the event center. The sophomores were nice, the juniors and seniors weren’t so nice and it never changed over the years. I know senior year hasn’t finished but I don’t think it’ll be better than my freshmen year, because I’ve been stressing every day since this year started. All…

In fourteen short years of life, I have accomplished a few things: starting a cheer team at my previous high school, playing several years of basketball, and having my bill pass in my first Youth in Government program. Sports have always been a staple part of my childhood and early adolescence; I have cheered for 3 years and played basketball for an additional 3 years. I have dedicated my time to cheer and basketball; the second, fourth, and sixth grades were devoted to basketball while the third, eighth, and ninth grades were devoted to cheer. This year is my sophomore year in high school and I became part of the Youth in Government program at my school. In cheer, I had to choreograph dances, teach cheers, and help manage the other cheerleaders.…
