Personal Narrative-Out Of A Car
Why me? Out of everyone and it was me, if it wasn't for my stupid car breaking down I wouldn't be in this situation. Why did I have to get out of the car. I'm currently in the trunk of a car tied up with rope and have duct tape over my mouth. Great,on my birthday too. I scrambled around looking for my phone but I couldn't see a damn thing. It was too dark and If anything that I've remembered in movies it's to not freak out, that's what would get me killed. I tried to untie the rope around my hands but I didn't have any luck. I started to lick the duct tape and it started to peel off. It started to get dusty in here and it was getting harder to breathe. I am so not happy, but I'm not scared either. Everyone is going to die someday but right …show more content…
It was a hammer. I got the sudden boost of energy and started to wiggle my hands tied up by the rope. It started to burn and then I could feel wetness trailing up my arm which meant blood. It hurt a lot but I'd rather be bleeding than dead. Which is about to happen soon if I don't hurry up. I grabbed the rope and pulled hard with my teeth and I finally broke free. I laid there thinking for a moment and then I grabbed the hammer and started to hit where the tail lights were. Soon enough the tail light popped out and I started waving my hands around like crazy. I made sure I was waving my hand downward so he couldn't see in his side or rear view mirrors. But still no luck. I started to search the rest of the trunk now that my hands were free. I found a bucket of paint not knowing what color it was and popping off of the lid with the other side of the hammer. I slowly started to pour it out. Leaving a trail of paint along the road. All of a sudden I dropped the paint bucket and it started to spill everywhere leaving me barely breathing. I put my head out the small hole gasping for air and then laying back down holding my breath. The person that was driving slammed on the brakes, cursed and got out. He found out about the paint. He saw the paint on the …show more content…
Brad and Aaron came and helped me up and took me back out of the washroom and sat me down on the chair behind the cash register. They looked concerned and he handed me the rest of the water remaining from the bottle and a cloth. I poured some water onto the cloth and started dabbing it on my forehead. I looked around the clock and it was 11:48 to be exact. I decided to wait an hour before I started to make my way up the mountain. I grabbed a sling bag that was hanging from one of the walls and put some granola bars and water in it and zipped it up. I had a headache and my vision was starting to get blurry so I went and sat back down.Aaron found a map in the back room and folded it out on the counter and opened a package of pens and started marking things down on the map. Brad was standing by my side and was helping me get stuff ready for the big

It was going to be a short ride only about 4 hours altogether through the South Dakota mountains. About an hour into our ride, we reached the mountains and as soon as we did Brody, Eli, Maddy, and I rode our horses to the top of the mountains. When we reached the top of the mountains we got off our horses and looked out over the South Dakota scenery, it was a beautiful view. I have never seen a better view in my life. You could see so far since we were up so high in the air and when we looked down at Tommy and Cassie they looked like ants. After we took a few pictures we headed back down to Tommy and Cassie. We went a little further after we got down from the mountain and then we turned back and headed towards camp. We arrived back at camp we washed, fed, and watered the horses. When we were done with that stuff we made a fire and started carving on sticks for a competition we were having and then at about 11 we went to…

“I DON’T CARE MOM!” I screamed at the top of my lunges. We were driving along I-95 on the sway home from my successful driver's license test. I was 16. I was normal. The radio played in the background but it couldn’t be heard over my mom yelling. This was the same crap I dealt with every day. I could have sworn that woman tried to find something to fight over: this time it was about how I should, “be more responsible” and “find a job” and “needing to grow up!”…

Today is starting off to be a wonderfully beautiful day. The cold morning air is rich with both oxygen and moisture, which smells like the recipe for power to me! The narrative, The Driver’s Seat struck home for me because I just received my driver’s license this past May, 2015. I took time for me to actually drive and to become comfortable behind the wheel of a car. This piece of writing spoke to me and allowed me to review some of the identical thinking points that I went through while getting to the point of taking control of my dad’s car. The story effectively walked me through the trials of spirit and mental anguish that preceded me in taking hold of the vehicle with my dad as the co-pilot giving directions. This was the exact thing the driving instructor in The Driver’s Seat‘ taught the author. The routine of how to maneuver and throw caution to the wind- taking risks- to get the author over…

I used to love reading. In kinder and first, my nose was stuck in a Magic Tree House book. Third, fourth, and fifth grade I basically lived at Hogwarts (in my rightfully sorted house, of course, I am a proud Hufflepuff). And in middle school, I discovered THE tween series of my generation, Maximum Ride. Reading was exciting, and even though I had done it for years every time I picked up a book it felt so novel. I was your ordinary bookworm until seventh grade when the joint power of Ms. Green’s teaching and James Patterson’s writing broke my will to read.…

I know you constantly claim that there is nothing wrong with my car, but Kevin holds a large amount of problems and difficulties that are constantly looked over. For example, Kevin’s engine can be heard from miles away, and the engine gets so obnoxiously loud in the vehicle that you cannot hear the person sitting next to you. In addition, Kevin’s brakes screech like nails on a chalkboard, the rearview mirror has fallen from the windshield many times before, and the CD player does not function properly. Often I find myself discovering some other element of the car that is damaged or broken. Kevin looks and runs smoothly now, but who is to say that he will tomorrow?…

There has been many cases in which I have helped an outsider feel welcome. One time in particular is when I played tag with this little boy at church since he was new and no one else played with him. Originally, I was outside eating candy and talking to my friends at church. I noticed that this little boy was standing all alone watching all the other little kids play without him. I thought that maybe he was upset so I went over to him and asked if he wanted the rest of my gummy worms. He seemed nervous at first, but eventually he started talking to me. I learned that he was five years old and he was visiting his grandparents for the weekend. His older brother was outside playing basketball with some of the other older boys at the church, and…

My friends and I were out riding around trying to decide if we wanted to go to Carowinds. I was driving too fast and jerking the wheel back and forth. I lost control of the car. The car ran off the edge of the road, and I hit a ditch damaging the left side of the car. The car then spun around and the right side of the car hit the ditch. The airbags popped out and hit me in the face. After we stopped spinning I asked my friends if they were ok. Fortunately, none of us got hurt. I had to call my parents and tell them that I wrecked the car. The police came and gave me a ticket and showed me at fault in the wreck. The wrecker picked up the car and took it to the body shop. The insurance adjuster looked at the car and said it was totaled. I had to wait a long time before my parents would even consider getting me another car. I had to go back to waiting for someone to pick me or asking somebody else for a ride. Although wrecking my car will always be an unpleasant memory of my first car, it taught me a valuable lesson about driving safely.…

There was always one major thought, the goal, a simple dream that made twinges of excitement flow through my body. The waiting was incredible, and it always seemed forever and a day before it would come true. This is a typical pre-teen, adolescent dream, yet it was as important to me as the sun rising. Nothing would ever top this, once I had it, no one could take it away. Getting my driver's license was only half the battle; the dream was to have my very own car. I wanted it and I dreamed about it everyday.…
