Personal Narrative: My Vacation To Colorado
If I could vacation anywhere in the world, it would be Colorado. I would vacation here because I used to live in Colorado. If I went to Colorado, I would do the following things: go to a Broncos game, go camping, and go to Lakeside. If I went to Colorado I would go to a Broncos game in hope to see a pick6, 50 yard touchdown, and to see the Broncos win. I would hope C.J. Anderson would get the 50 yard touchdown, and the energy at a Broncos game is super intense. Even though Broncos games are fun, you can’t beat Colorado fresh air.
The next thing I would do in Colorado is go camping. I would like to build fires, and practice shooting our guns. My brother and I would go on nature hikes, in hope of finding a Bigfoot!
After being outside

The holidays are fast approaching and I can't believe it. The leaves have changed colors and are falling rapidly off the trees. It seems like I looked and blinked and an entire year just just flew by, and my now little girl is not so little anymore. I've been going through photos of past Christmases and I can see the growth that has taken place throughout the year. As most of you know, I grew up in the Caribbean and I never experienced snow until we moved to the United States. Christmas for us meant cotton dresses and tees and we were even able to wear shorts as well, because it was summer all year round. Now fast forward to today, and I have children of my own and they need different wardrobes for each season including the holidays. The…

As a student I find myself seated in front of a computer screen for long hours at a time; likewise, it is my obligation as a student to use technology as a resource to further my comprehension in my degree. In my opinion a good excuse to be seated in front of a computer for long hours. It is easy to say that I find a lot of inspiration form online sources, blogs, and social media – which I do – however, I feel most inspired when I step away from the computer screen. I find inspiration in the ordinary; I love to travel and see new things, in this case this is where I found my inspiration. Along my travels to Whistler Mountain in previous winters I saw a portion of land that was clear-cut, but one tree stood alone covered in snow. This piece…

I have traveled to Maryland, Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. Oregon seems like it would blow all of them away. On Saturday April 13, 2013 I was walking through the parking garage on the USAA campus in San Antonio, TX to start my 4 hour work shift, I began to go through the turnstile and seemingly startled awake a bat. This bat began to fly and squeal in fear. It darted at my head getting caught in my hair a couple times. I started to scream and flail my arms about trying to fend off the nocturnal flying mammal in fear. During what seemed to be forever I was able to unlock the turnstile and exit the entry way but not before rupturing two discs in my neck. This incident caused quite the turn of events in my life. I had been working for USAA for 3 years and truly loved it there. I also lived in a beautiful apartment with my mother and two children and…
