Personal Narrative: My Trip To Vegas
My husband and I decided to come to Vegas after a very long hiatus that included work stress and family stress. We would come to Vegas quite often in the past but unfortunately this year has been so hectic we were only able to do one trip thus far, We gamble a lot when in Vegas so we always get discounts offered to us by different hotels regularly. We decided to go with Ballys because its right in the center of the strip and you can’t really go wrong with any Cesars affiliated hotel right ? Wong !!!!!
This was an absolutely horrific experience. From the moment we checked in to the second we decided to leave I cannot express how utterly upset and disgusted I am with my experience at this hotel.
First off when we checked in and were walked up to our rooms by the bell hop which we thought

This is when I started getting very upset, Not only are the employees here not being accommodating but they are trying to charge us after they inconvenience us and not give us what we paid for. My husband and I decided there was very little we could do and then noticed that it was past 1:30 am. We decided to go to our friends hotel room who was staying at the Aria and crash with him. The next day when we returned to our room it was still extremely hot and the air conditioner was set to the high 40’s. At this point we knew we could not stand it any longer and called the front desk. My husband told them that we wanted to check out and we were going to call our credit card company and inform them that Ballys was trying to wrongfully charge us. This finally got the front desks attention. The said they would move us to another room free of charge but alas that room was really not any better. The safe did not work and we did not want to walk around the strip with a large chunk of cash on us

It was just a boring day in my hometown, a traditional, weak entrance a lot of narrative stories use to try to get the attention of the readers. This story, however, isn’t one of those traditional stories; this one involves a day that had been exciting up to that point already. The memory that resonates daily throughout my mind would have to be the time when I went to Six Flags for the first time in my life. Before I jump into my story, I should tell you my friends mess with each other a lot, almost to the point where we get into fights with each other.…

Marriott International, Inc. The Plaintiff, Michael Eason reserved a room at the Boston Marriott Burlington Hotel after checking in Eason and his guest entered the reserved room. Upon entrance Eason observed that all of the lights were off and the room was completely dark except for a small amount of light coming from the hallway and a small gap in the window curtains. Eason then proceeded into the room and, after the hallway door had closed behind him, tripped over a coffee table and sustained injuries. Eason then filed a lawsuit on the bases of personal…

I went on a trip to Las Vegas for Christmas one year and it was a trip that I would never forget. When we arrived in Las Vegas we stayed in the Luxor Hotel. The Luxor in Las Vegas is a good place to go because of the luxury of the hotel, the exquisite food, and magnificent entertainment. I enjoyed staying in the famous Luxor hotel and Casino. I loved staying in the beautiful four star hotel, it was fun, and I hope to go back someday.…

My original goal for the first day was to stop for the night in Green River, UT so we'd be close to our destination the next morning. Unfortunately, the Motel 6 was booked solid for the night. I checked Grand Junction and not only did the Motel 6 have rooms available, but it was $20/night cheaper than Green River. Over the years of traveling with my beasts, I've decided that Motel 6 best fits our needs. Not only are they exceptionally dog friendly, but also very reasonably priced (dogs stay free at most which saves a lot) - they may be a bit spartan for some but fit our travel needs very well.…

“ Come and eat.” Joe,the leader of the trip, struggled to say because he was so tired, “Breakfast is going to be light this morning because we have along day head of us.” We all struggled to get out of our tents considering it was 5:30am and there was a mountain we had to start climbing in a half hour. All thirteen of us stood in a line like we did the morning before while we packed our lunches. The options available to us were an apple, cheese stick, peanut butter and jelly to make sandwiches, but only 2 per person, yogurt and 2 bottles of water. All of that would have to fit into a back pack with us the would be stuck to our backs for the rest of the day. “Time to load!” Joe shouted. We all got into the van that seated 16, single file until very seat was filled.…

My first trip to Las Vegas was the worst plane trip every, I had experienced all types of emotions from Norfolk to Dallas. In Norfolk my flight was delayed due to the weather, then another two hour delay in Dallas. All I wanted was to get to Vegas. On my flight I sat beside a man who never been on a plane. This guy behavior was the worst. I tried to convince him to read, listen to music or drink. I even tried to start a conversation to calm him down. My friends were laughing they knew my patience was running out. I was thinking to myself knocking him out. We enter into a storm the thunder and lightning was bad the sounds silence the whole flight. The Pilot came on and informed us we are in Dallas unable to land due to the weather. Looking out…

Las Vegas is exactly what I thought it would be in so many ways. I never thought a place could live so fully up to its famous and infamous reputation. From the slot machines to the nudity. Its almost like the entire place just never found its filter. "Southern Hospitality" was null and void and I'm guessing never even heard of let alone considered. Its just the complete rawness was something I'm not used to it at all. In the south everyone is so much more conservative and worried about what they look like in other people's eyes. It just seems like everyone there was so much more worried about themselves and their own lives they didn't have time to be worried with others. There was also this sense of togetherness and understanding. Not necessarily…

I am sure it happened as easily as this: We were sitting around the garage shooting the bull during a cold winter snap. Thoughts turned to motorcycle rides and things spring and summer. For once, it wasn’t me. Mrs. K was the one to mention going to California. We hadn’t taken a trip the summer before, and she said, “We ought to ride to California and take the PCH along the coast.” Probably, no one jumped up and started packing, but several certainly starting thinking. One mention leads to another mention which leads to final plans. For me, it was a dream I have had since I watched Then Came Bronson and spent my time reading On the Road. For all of us, we researched the trip and found places and things…

“Life is all about ending up somewhere you didn’t expect, and learning to just be happy with it.” (Lauren Oliver) That’s what I felt coming in and seeing the lights of Las Vegas laid out below me. I had the fleeting thought that even though I missed the stars in the sky, I didn’t need them because the glittering lights of Vegas were like thousands of tiny stars. I don’t think that I had really thought about it but I have fallen in love with this city and I guess it took a week away for me to realize that this was my home. I think about how I could have ended up in any other place but somehow I was lucky enough to end up in this city. I haven’t seen the world or what it has to offer but somehow I doubt that any other city will be able to capture…

I remember when I went on my very first road trip to Las Vegas. In Las Vegas I was on the road with my dad for his job, we had to go through Las Vegas. We made it there when it had just started to get dark. It was so beautiful all of the buildings being lit up and all the people roaming the streets. There was music playing people singing and laughing. It looked as if everyone was having such a great time. When we got to the trucking scales there was a guy there, he had given my dad some coupons or tickets to Gold Coast Hotel and Casino. So that night me and my dad parked his truck far away and walked to the hotel and casino. We spent the night there my dad gambled a little while I ate and then we spent the rest of the night in the hotel where…

When we arrived to Grand View Hotel and we all checked into our hotel room, first thing I noticed was the view of the pool from the window. After, I actually took the time to look around and saw that there was a kitchen and a small living room as well as two average sized rooms. The reason why there was two room was because my family and I were sharing a hotel room with my cousin and my aunt. So on our first day there, we ate dinner at this restaurant and met with some of my relatives that I’ve never met before. I remember that was my first and last time…
