Personal Narrative: My Trip To Maidu Museum
When I first arrived at Maidu Museum I was pleasantly surprised of how beautiful it looked. I automatically wanted to take the walk first and see how beautiful it looked, because the last time I saw something so beautiful was in China, Zhangjiajie. However this was amazing site, because it was in California. I never knew that such a place existed nearby, watching everything on the trails was amazing I just wished I was able to get closer to it. Plus at the same time I was quite envious of the Nisenan Maidu people, because they were able to call this place there home and lasted for thousands of years. When finished I felt so relaxed of everything, I don't know why but walking around nature is just something that I have found relaxing probably

Every year, my summer consist of my family and I traveling around the states. Boston Massachusetts, was one of the states that built the love and appreciation I have for nature. The Boston Tea Party Museum was located between Congress St and Seaport Blvd. The city its self was appealing. Trees and flowers you’d Normally see on the TV, Big Houses with paintings so bright you think it was painted every-week.The lawns was tidy, plantings and the trees were clipped to purity. Where I was standing, the sidewalks were smooth and clean. No cracks, no unruffled spots. It was the most errorless town I had ever seen. The museum was a long way from the neighbor I was at. The drive didn’t seem like it was half an hour; more like couple of minutes. From…

I walked into the doors of Statehouse Expo Center, my feet walking with the sound of my bag rolling over the little cracks on the light floor tile, my white uniform as crisp as a fall breeze. With every step further, I could see more people. Lots more people. The mats filled with people. People who spend their whole lives working to be where they are, on those mats. Sparring, combat, weapons and forms. XMA in one corner, Black Belts in another corner, everyone else in a corner and staging in a corner. All surrounded by a Sr. Master or the occasional Master. When we get to a tournament, our team always meets up. Then all the kids go explore. We found our team and all the kids put away their IPads and Kindle Fires.…

He didn't seem to like the name of the museum. The “Holocaust” Museum. Just didn't seem right, ya’ know? Like they reduced it to just that and nothing else, he tried to make it seem like his opinion really didn’t mattered, but this was just their history. This was his story. Now he’s just walking alongside her, her with the fair skin that had gentle freckles the sun gave to her every now and then, bright grey eyes that had tinges of subtle brown like oak. Her hair was long, brown, and swift and her voice, sweet. She was lively and short contrasting his mourning eyes, his tall and thick stature, his blunt voice, and his unruly tightly coiled and cotton hair. He was crushing hard, but he knew her head was elsewhere, on one of the other friends…

I've never been an "outdoors" experience kind of person. Maybe, it's because I'm very sedentary and prefer to stay inside to read and enjoy tranquility. I avoid all types of chaos and crowded places. Nevertheless, my visit to the Camuy River Cave Park (back in 2004) was refreshing and enriching in knowledge, historically, scientifically and spiritually. That experience brought the best out of me, as a human being and a nature lover, by giving the chance of experiencing a whole new level of peace and tranquility.…

The early humans exhibit was interesting solely because it explained the origin of my culture. It touched upon the first forms of art made with rocks and stones. It also displayed the tools used for hunting, gathering, cultivation, and herding but despite these positive aspects I found it quite boring. The room itself made me sleepy because of the color and as I was taking notes I could not help but want to leave.…

The news vans from a dozen different television stations were gathered around the massive crowd of people outside of what was once the closed down and abandoned Museum in Coutts. Coutts is a Small town located just above the border into the United States. I saw the reporters interviewing the people looking to get their side of the story as they waited for the event to be underway the grand opening of the museum of native American history. One reporter was interviewing a tall Native American who wore a name tag that said I am Blackfoot on it. The man said to the news reporter “I remember 3 years ago when Mel started this petition to reopen this museum, we all thought he was crazy, he would come around with these little name tags…

I love the St. Louis Art Museum. Even though I have lived here my whole life, I just never got around to going there. Although this has been my first visit to Art Museum, I know I will definitely go back. Once I walked in through the front doors, I was amazed. The overall size surprised me. I was actually expecting it to be small, but lucky for us, it is not. Then when I reached the third floor, I was in awe because I got to see work from the 20th century. Also it was a great feeling to see the paintings I had studied in class, and then see them in person. As I walked from room to room, and floor-to-floor I could not get enough: until the museum closed down for the night, and I was told to leave. In spite of that, I downright enjoyed myself. I forgot that I was there for a school assignment. The artwork there ranged from weapons, furniture pieces, sculptures, and paintings. It is refreshing to see something new from turn you take. Also, to see the timeline of art pass right by you as you go through the whole museum.…

Hi, I’m Cody Jones. I’m really excited because today is the big day! My 2nd grade class and I are going to the Mythical Creature Zoo. We, here at the Mythical Creature Academy, are in the process training to be zookeepers there. At the zoo, there are SO many cool creatures! There are: hydras, Minotaurs, Hippogriffs, a unicorn petting zoo, mermaid aquarium with Kelpies and a Kraken, a Sphinx, and even a Centaur. Because Miss Taylor is such a good teacher, she taught us ALL about the cool creatures. Some things she taught me were: to not pet the Hippogriffs until they trust us, and that mermaid tears become aquamarine jewels! I think I’m set for this amazing trip to the MCZ!…
