Growing up my dad and his two sisters were always vocal about how they grew up in a poor household. My grandpa maintained a steady income that was only enough to pay bills and put food on the table. My granny was a stay at home mom that would pick up jobs here and there being a maid. So, there money was very tight and vacationing was out of the question. One day my grandpa decides that he wants to walk on sandy beach barefoot and pick up pretty seashells. In eighth grade, the 2018 graduates including me visited Washington D.C. After months of preparing we finally landed in the Capitol. I grew up in a two small towns called Ruston, La and Grambling, La. I spent my childhood in Ruston and my teenage years in Grambling. The two towns are so small it's like 1 small town almost. I enjoyed my childhood there. It was a place where kids were free to run and play. Til this day it is still a place where kids can be free and mothers don't have to constantly fret about there child being kidnapped of the street. I live in DeMotte with my Mom and Step-Dad. My real father lives in Ohio. I only get to see my actual dad three times a year. I see him in fall, spring, and summer. Obviously, I saw him this summer, and this time I was staying with him for a week. This was the first time I stayed this long at his house before. Although he lives in Ohio, and is only two hours away from Sandusky, he’d never experienced Cedar Point either. First off, trip to Vietnam was truly a blessing. I did not expect so much of the trip until the first day I arrived Vietnam. On my first day, I got an opportunity to meet many great people who were selfless; those who cared more about others rather than themselves. It took approximately 14hours in total to arrive at hotel. Even though the plane ride was only about 5hours, since it was a group trip, it took extra time to ensure everyone is in right place. The warm ocean breeze blows across my face as we are loading onto the cruise ship. It is the summer of 2016, and my very first cruise. I brought my friend, Mariah, along with me for my first experience. We are on our way to Puerto Rico from Florida, which means we will be going through the Bermuda Triangle. There have been a lot of rumors about people disappearing or being transported into the future when they go through the Bermuda Triangle. Going into my senior year I still had the idea of, I can make it into a Florida school, I wanted to go to a Florida school to play baseball. So my senior year starting the baseball season with a new coach, I made my mind up, I’m going to work hard to stay in Florida and change my coaches mind. Through my senior year I was by far the best pitcher my ERA was under 1, I had 27 pick- offs in just one year. Also this year I was interviewed for being the hot shot of the week, an article in the newspaper. I was nominated for picking off 7 base runners in one game. Parsons, Kansas, the place I were born and raised. I had been out of town before and went to another city and state but none to where I was willing to move when I got older. A large part of my family lived here, and this is where all my friends were from. My family was very close and we always spent the holidays together, so It wasn’t as if I was all alone at any time. Every one I needed was no more than a five- block radius from each other, so I could visit and have a good time pretty much all the time. Most of the friends I made in school didn’t leave, so I really had no reason to move when I got older. I enjoyed the country and all it had to offer I could go fishing, ride horses and make mud pies pretty much all day with the kids and go to the bars at night with my friends and family. I really could find no reason to leave, I worked at nursing home and had a pretty nice duplex that I never want to leave. I knew my way around like the back of my hands I had explored that town over the last 25 years; I could make a road map myself. A week before becoming a college student I went on a road trip to New Orleans. On my way back, I was captain of the ship. Driving the car back wasn’t so simple, on the contrary, I discovered a button called “Cruise Control” on the wheel.
