Personal Narrative: My Receiving Stolen Property

The conviction of my receiving stolen property isn’t a conviction that I personally stole anything, which it’s a conviction that I received an item that someone else had stolen. I had no knowledge that the item was stolen. However since my conviction I have not received the minor things of a speeding ticket or even seat belt violation, but I do wear my seat belt every time I am in a vehicle. The following January after my conviction I enrolled into Edison State Community College to pursue a degree in business. May of 2016 I graduated with associates’ degree in Business Management with Marketing. That September I enrolled into the Real Estate Certificate classes to pursue a real estate license. I’m currently working an associates’ degree in Accounting at Edison State Community College.
My previous record is all driving violations. Other than the one receiving stolen property charge, I have no other criminal record.
I’m very grateful for the education that Edison has provided me with and I’m trying to make the most with it to help better myself and my life. By being able to take the state real estate license exam and to pass the exam I will be able to use my education from Edison by helping others sell the home they have and find the homes of they’re
