If I didn’t have horrible luck with men, I wouldn’t have any luck at all.

I have a full life—great friends, a job I love, a really nice place to live—but something is missing. I want a family. Someone to love and who loves me back. A house full of kids. But when it comes to dating, I can’t get a passing grade.

I haven’t even lost my virginity.

I’ll never get a husband if I can’t get a second date. So I ask my roommate, my older brother’s best friend before he died, to teach me Real Man Seduction 101. I was always good at school and my rugged, alpha roommate seems like the perfect tutor.

The problem is, the more time he spends guiding me, the less I feel like taking my new skills outside of our house. I know he’s not the guy for me, even

The social-emotional domain is most of interest to me. As Humans we interact pretty much throughout our lives, our emotions often play a large role on how we develop socially and how that ties to our emotions. From birth we gradually start to develop these relationships with the people around us. Over time this process of learning to communicate, share, and interact with others takes many years to develops. We continue to develop these skills into our teenage years, and even as young adults. So with that I do believe that the development in this domain is mostly a continuous one.…

Through all my years in school I have never sat in a class remotely close to the way Meeting12 was conducted. I was sitting there and asking myself where was this class when I was in high school? I understand why this type of communication is so difficult, I have never had an open forum of sorts to talk with the opposite gender and really communicate the topic of sex. To me it seems like such an undervalued and under utilized part of relationships. I think if more classes take on an approach like meeting12, communication between genders can greatly increase.…

Gender was always a very tricky subject for me until I finally realized gender and sex are two different things. So, gender was never something I ever really thought about. I was a girl and that was that. It was definitely assumed for me based on my biological “label” of female at birth. I grew up with two sisters so there were lots of baby dolls and Barbies. But as I got older, aspects of other gender(s) became aware to me that I decided I wanted to incorporate into my own gender. I did not like wearing dresses so that “norm” was thrown out of my wardrobe options. I was much more comfortable in pants and a t-shirt playing outside. I became very interested in sports and always wanted to be outside shooting baskets or throwing around…

She was an adult and adults got upset easily. When we pulled into the drive I got out and I was excited to share my day with her, today for me was like every other day. Growing up with divorced parents from two radically different cultures was at first difficult. My mother’s family was from Peru, while my father’s was from Bangladesh. In my young mind, there was an internal struggle with what my identity actually consisted of. I wasn’t wholly from one culture or the other, and felt like a black sheep when interacting with either side of my family. Due to this, I attempted to keep these cultures partitioned. At the time, they were different portions of my life that simply couldn’t intermix. This mentality in turn led me to foolishly shy away from my joint heritage. I kept myself enclosed in a box, blind to the beauty of my surrounding culture. However, as time progressed, I knew I had to make a change in my understanding.…
