Personal Narrative: My Passion For Business Studies

My passion for business studies began when I was hired to become a junior hairdresser. The amount of work and effort put into running a business. Being able to see first-hand how a business operates and how products were advertised and sold intrigued me. I love the idea of being able to independently earn your own income; this idea has inspired me to become driven in order to succeed. Being able to study business will give me the fundamental skills needed to engage in the international world of business and be a prosperous entrepreneur. I am currently studying Health and Social Care as a Level 3 qualification. This decision was made as I wanted to become a midwife but it is no longer my intention. I have covered various units in my course which relate directly to theory, practise and law in
Additionally I completed a unit covering marketing theory and practise. In this unit I was required to plan and deliver a campaign that marketed healthy eating to a teenage audience. Learning about the different aspects of social marketing has given me a great insight into the different techniques that are used to market to their customers. Experiencing this has enabled me to know how I should operate in a business while working with others and know how to reach the goal set. Throughout my studies I have shown myself to be a student who takes pride in all tasks. I have been able to remain a hard-working student who is able to balance many tasks given to me at the same time by completing my BTEC course. Having to complete numerous assignments and meet multiple deadlines at the same time while maintain a high standard demonstrates that I am hard working and can prioritise effectively.
