Personal Narrative: My Opening Jump
With goosebumps along my arms, I stood ready to take my turn on the shiny, luminous white ice. The person in the green hockey box announced my name through the microphone in a loud, and enthusiastic tone. I skated to the already scratched up blue line and took my beginning pose. My arms form a perfect circle above my braided sparkly hair and I have one toe pick jabbed into the ice and the other standing flat. I wait for my music to begin and just like that the music begins blaring into my ears and fills them with a soft melody. As my program begins and I start skating swiftly to the music I remember my opening jump. My opening jump is the hardest of them all and is going to be tough to land.
