Personal Narrative: My Newborn Photography Home
Daniel was brought into my newborn photography studio by new parents, Scott and Tiffany. He was just 6 days new at the time of his session. This December baby was born on the first of the month weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces and measuring 21 inches.

The couple met in marching band in college back in 2007, but didn't connect until years later. In 2011, Scott's brother needed 3 people to critique his book and asked him to find those people. Tiffany was one of the people that Scott chose. They've been together since.

Tiffany and Scott chose the name Daniel Quy Tam for their little boy. His middle name was given to him after his mom's grandfather who passed 2 years ago. They wanted to honor him, and Tam means precious heart in Vietnamese.

When I learned that Mom loved Harry Potter and used as inspiration for Daniel's nursery, I had to bring out my favorite vendor's gray owl items. With the grays, silvers, gold and red in the nursery, I knew the gray owl would work for them with the theme and colors.

She said she wants him to have an open mind for imagination, adventure and exploration, which is a sentiment I adore. I believe the owl picture will be a big hit and look great in his nursery.

It always warms my heart to see new, loving parents in my newborn photography studio. Scott and Tiffany are clearly in love with their new little one, and they were very sweet with him. I can't wait to show them the images that were captured. These are memories of a time that should stay with them

‘Babies’ is a documentary film which chronicles the first year of life of four babies spanning the globe. Documentarian Thomas Balmès fans out to the grasslands of Namibia, the plains of Mongolia, the high rises of Tokyo and the busy streets of San Francisco in a study of culture, societal structure, geography and tradition, along with parental love and the impact all these elements have on child rearing. In the hunting and gathering society of Namibia and pastoral Mongolia, Balmès follows Ponijao and Bayar and in postindustrial Tokyo and San Francisco we are introduced to Mari and Hattie. While the 1:18 film has no real dialogue, viewers are able to get a distinct feel for each baby’s personality, the role they play within the family structure and perhaps most importantly, the universal undying love the parents display towards their offspring with the ultimate goal to raise happy and healthy children.…
