Personal Narrative: My Mom Says My Mother
JIMMY TIME FOR DINNER! Says my mom, I really don't like having to eat dinner because we HAVE THE SAME THING! We always have lasagna and I am really tired of having to eat lasagna. If I had a dog I could just sneak it to him/her so I don't have to eat it, but of course my mom says the same thing “No! It's too much responsibility” and anyways I like the smartest 3rd grader in my class and I have responsibility...whatever that means. Aug lasagna it’s ok but still like the last few times we have it. I might try to ask for a dog again “mom I actually could take care of a dog. I will feed it and clean it's poo even though I don't want too”. My dad got mad that I said “poop” at the dinner table but no one denied me asking for a dog so maybe that's a …show more content…
For some reason mom and dad went upstairs, and the reason that that is weird is because they usually watch tv after dinner so I was curious. I creep upstairs to see what going on so I put my ear up against the door and I heard DOG and GET, So that might mean something. I couldn't fall asleep because I thought of all the types of dogs that they could get me, a german sheperd, a poodle, a chawawa, ooh or maybe a golden retriever. I really want a golden retriever, they are so cool. They're also pretty smart, so maybe I can play fetch with him or other games or it would be funny if i get a bulldog because they are lazy and i could tiptoe up to it and scare it!that would be really funny. I lay there and eventually AAAASHOOO AAASHOOO AAAHHSOO I snore pretty loud too. I wake up to my parent saying “jimmy we got some chores for you to do!” I got really sad because I thought just maybe they would have gotten me a dog be oh well. “Vroooom” wow! the vacuum is loud I can barely hear myself think and at least my vacuuming skills

When it comes to school, I guess you could say that my mom was a bit of a nerd. She was extremely smart and exceeded in every class. She went to a Catholic school until fourth grade. She said, about this school, “Not much happened here, I was placed in Reading and Math groups by myself, and no, I was never hit with rulers over the knuckles by the nuns, if you were wondering.” In middle school, she was placed in an advanced class and by the time she left she was finished with all her required high school math classes. She was also inducted into the National Junior Honor Society where she held the office of Secretary. In high school, since she was a big nerd, she took college level math courses and AP in all other classes. She also played…

The person i chose to interview was my mother, and the topic we chose was how her and my dad met. My parents were born in california, not anywhere out of california or america. Suddenly, I woke to the sound of pain and stress. In the dimmed hotel room, my mother was laid roughly on the bed motioning that she didn’t feel well. We had traveled the far and exciting journey to Las Vegas to witness my mom finish a half marathon. It was an event that she had spent minutes, hours, days, and months training for. I couldn’t believe that after all of the work my mom had done in the past year, she wouldn’t be able to compete on the big day. I was wrong though when my mom sat up, tidied her tangled hair and nonchalantly said, “let’s do this”.…

After my second year in high school, I made a decision that would turn out to be life changing. This decision wasn’t life changing in the way that getting married or going to college would be, but I really learned a lot about myself that summer. What I’m about to tell you is what happened when I switched from Marching Band to Football. I will explain to you why this switch was such a big deal to me and what I learned about myself from it. Switching from Marching Band to Football after my Sophomore year of high school changed the way I saw myself because I found I have a strong enough will to follow my heart despite controversy with others, I have a strong desire to be in control of my life, and I have an aggressive side that had not shown itself before.…

My family environment has influenced me a lot especially when my siblings were born. I am the oldest out of five, so I'm always look up to. I always had to make a good example and never show that I was scared. When my mom and stepdad had to work, I would take care of them until they came back while getting my schoolwork and practicing my instrument done too. I never really had a chance to be a kid, I always had to be a mother to my siblings. I would always wish for more time in the day for myself, Although watching them grow up from when they were small and started school for the first time made up for that loss time. I live up to a quote, "Be the master of your future, not the slave of your problems." My senior year I had to stop being…

My mother’s parents would always share stories with us about how their parents came to America from Italy and Germany. They would bring out old photo albums and tell us all about how different life was for them and how they held on to family cooking recipes and every Christmas we make the same dishes that their parents would make. My father’s parents would also share stories about Ireland and my grandpa would talk about what he experienced when he was in the war. Unlike the family I interviewed, I was brought up in a Christian household. Every Sunday the whole family would attend church together and then go out to eat after to talk about what we had learned. We would also pray every night before bed and were always told to give thanks throughout the day for the life we have been blessed with.…

I was a child, an innocent boy who accepted the fact that Santa was greedy, and was not going to leave one single cookie, not one. Along with that innocent realization, came the understanding that hospital visits were not uncommon, but in fact, a regular occurrence. As a child, the hospital environment seemed so artificial to me. Machines, wires and tubes stationed at every corner, made me think then, that no person should have to succumb to such a synthetic life. Especially if that person was my father.…
