I had no hobbies, just several inactive dreams. I was pretty bland, actually. When I came to BrewTech, however, things quickly changed. I got tired of being a follower as soon as I stepped foot into the building. One of those inactive dreams of mine was to be on a sport team, so I tried out for volleyball. I didn’t even think I’d make it, it was just fun to do something rash. I was surprised to see I had made it onto the JV team with no experience and a terrible serve. Another one of my dreams was to get somewhere in the fashion industry. I loved to design here and there,

My childhood dream was to work as an anchor for ESPN. I still want to work in sports, as a college athletics video coordinator, video taping practices and games for game tape and the university archive. Sure, it was refined somewhat, but what I want to do is basically in the same vein as my childhood dream. When being asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up,” my answer was “an ESPN anchor.” I still think about that from time to time, even though I’m a freshman in college. I think if you keep the dreams from your youth in the back of your head, you will actively pursue something that you really love. If you like what you do, you will be much happier, and happiness is the key to quality of life.…

When I was younger I had a very vibrant dream in the back of my mind. My family has never been the rich family, and I have never gotten everything I wanted. Everyday is a new day for me. I wake up everyday pondering whether or not I will be able to get through the day without a single complaint. As I woke up this morning, I went straight to my coffee machine to make my coffee as I always do. What was strange is that every time I tried to start it up, it wouldn't start. After realizing that my coffee machine, my most prized possession, was broken, I quickly got ready with my signature messy bun and went to the nearest coffee shop. I was going to get my coffee. After ordering my favorite coffee at Dunn Brothers, I was not happy to see that they messed up my order. I went to my work and hoped that the not-my-order-coffee would kick in soon. This day has already started off horribly and I did not…

As a little girl, I had always been fascinated with technology. Whether it was pretending to “hack” into my dad’s laptop at 6 years old, or building remote control cars and running electrical circuits at age 8, my interest in technology was hugely inspired by my father. I wasn’t normal in the way you’d describe younger girls; by playing with dolls and makeup. Instead, I was the girl dirtied by the forest soil or fixated on taking apart anything electronic in the house. I went through a multitude of remote controls, pens, keyboards, and anything else that you could imagine having numerous pieces in it. I was enthralled by the way items were put together. And by combining pieces that seemed to be random metal and plastic, somehow you could make…
