Personal Narrative: My Interview With A Pharmacist

During my interview with her, I wanted to touch base on how she stayed focus and what it’s like being able to say you did it. These were questions I never got the chance to ask her, even though she’s my family I never thought about it. I decided to meet up with her for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We decided to get lunch at New Orleans hamburger and seafood restaurant, we both love that place. As we ordered our food and the server bring our drinks, I begin to interview her. She’s always been very open with anything that goes on with her so I know this was going to be an interesting talk. As I start to ask questions, I mainly ask about what it’s like being a Pharmacist and what are the cons and pros of her job. She begins telling me about how she loves her job and could be more than happy to be able to accomplish her dream.
I could see the excitement in her eyes as she speaks about her career. Before I could ask her my next questions, she begins telling me her story on why she wanted to be successful and why she had to finish college. 9 years ago, she was in high school and was a junior at the moment. She was in a serious relationship with her first love and I could remember she loved him so much. During their relationship, she got pregnant. It was a shock to the family and it definitely was a surprise to her. I could hear in her tone, that it’s a very sensitive topic to talk about. I sat there and listened to every word and showed her that I'm all ears and willing to listen. Going through an abortion at a young age is not easy and it’s something hard to deal with.
