Personal Narrative: My Gun

My feet ghosted upon the forest floor as I flew through between the trees. I could feel the governor’s men chasing me; the sound of my heartbeat filled my ears, adrenaline pumping like ice in my veins, my instincts screaming at me to kill. Anger filled my body like blood. I began slowing down, wanting them to get close so I could put them all into an eternal sleep.
As I felt myself retrieving my gun from my jacket I stopped as I realized the only way to get my sister back was to get caught. And with that I threw myself to the ground, hitting my head on a nearby rock. I hear muffled voices surrounding me as I stumble to my feet. As I’m getting up I sense someone walking up to me. Just as my vision clears, I see a shadow coming towards my face. I felt a balled fist make contact with my jaw. I feel the blood vessels burst in my bottom lip as I fall to the ground. My breath instantly left me for dead as I felt their foot collide
Almost instantly the second I get out I see him holding a young girl by the neck just smiling that crooked smile. Realizing that young girl was my sister, I take out my gun and aim at the governor.
“Let her go of her or I will shoot.” I say calmly.
“You wouldn’t dare, not with your sister in the way.” He says as he laughs me off. I can only grin as I take my shot and shoot him in his knee cap. My sister runs toward me as the governor fall to the ground screaming in pain. I can only laugh as I walk up to him.
“Extinguish the poor, Extinguish the sin. There shall be no abomination in this empire. Isn’t that what you said before you killed my family?” I ask as I drop to the ground pushing my knee into his neck. His eyes widen in fear as I point the gun to his head.
“You are the only abomination that I see.” With that I pull the trigger and I feel his warm wet blood splatter all over my face. I look up to the sky and scream in pleasure. It’s over and done. We can all live peacefully now that he’s
