Personal Narrative: My First Roller Coaster Ride
My mother called my friend telling us to meet her at Coasters Drive-In, she told us we were going to eat lunch there. We knew where it was because we had seen the place on the way to the last ride we went on. When we arrived, I looked around for my mother. I saw her on a chair reading her book. She was reading a book because she does not like roller coasters. We both went up to her and sat down next to her, I asked her “Where is dad and Ben at?”, she replied “They are still in line for that new roller coaster.” “How long have they been in line for?” my friend asked. “For like two or three hours!” my mom shouted. “We will wait for them, and then get something to eat.” “Okay” I said. Since we did not know when they would get back, and didn’t want …show more content…
We looked for an open table, sat down on the hot metal seats, and unpackaged our food. I opened my burger, looked at it, and made sure everything i ordered on my burger was there. Everything was there so I started eating.

After we had finished eating, we walked over to a roller coaster we had all been wanting to ride. The roller coaster was called The Mean Streak, and It was an old wooden roller coaster that looked scary. While we were walking over to it, we saw many shops, and water rides. We could smell the freshness of the water, and could hear the screams of the people on the rides. About ten minutes of walking later, we reached our destination. We didn’t hesitate, and walked right into line, weaving through barriers, and walking up several flights of stairs. When we reached the top, it looked as if the ride was shut down. We saw nobody in line, and there were only two workers waiting on people to arrive. We didn’t mind, because that meant we could get on quicker. We walked over to the front seats, and jumped in. We searched for the seatbelts, clicked them in, and pushed the safety bar in. The employee started the ride, and

I remember day after day going to swimming lessons in the summer of 2002 at the Mount Vernon pool. Almost every day I walked by the ladder that seemed to go on forever. I used to sit on the pools edge and watch the older kids do flips and other cool tricks off of the high dive. Many times I had gotten half way up the ladder but couldn't bring myself to go all the way up. For a seven year old going off the high dive was like a right of passage and a way to be seen as "cool" in the eyes of the older kids. Today I will be telling you about the first time a braved the high dive.…

It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars once spoke, "I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up my friend." At one point in my life, I found this quote to be totally insignificant. Now that I look back on my teenage years, I see it. The rollercoaster only went up from the point I opened my big, fat, attitude infested, mouth to my step-mother, Verona. The take off was bumpy, as well the entire rest of the journey up. Though it did eventually come down, not only going up. I came down an entirely different person and didn't have to think of life as a fictional roller coaster to stay happy.…

“Wooooshhhhh!!!” At blast off, California Screamin, took us through twists and turns, with an upside down loop. People were screaming their lungs out when the steel roller coaster soared into the air like a rocket. The terrifying speed made my toes curl and the strong wind pushed my head against the rubber black seat. I cried bloody murder on the coaster as it fell plumb down almost touching the ground. All too soon, it was over. After I got off of the thrill ride, I found my haggard look with disheveled hair through a snapshot picture. This is simply too awful to contemplate.…
