Personal Narrative: My First Generation College Students

I am a First generation college student. My parents did not graduate high school and nor did my grandparents. My mother and father were teens when they had my twin sister, Lauren, and I. They were young and did not have the means nor the money to raise one child, let alone two.We were given to our grandparents and they have been our parents ever since. My grandparents have worked hard all their lives, and now that they are on a fixed income, money is tight.This makes college and tuition a touchy subject. And with a twin, there’s not only one, but 2 tutions to worry about. My grandparents have given me an amazing life and it breaks my heart to see them struggle. Unlike many I know the value of a dollar, and that is a trait I am very proud
