Personal Narrative: My Experience To Work In A Psychiatric
This was the first day in the psychiatric unit. I worked with adolescents. I think working in a psychiatric unit is similar to any other floor. Nurses are charting, passing medications, assessment and discharge. On the other hand, there are some differences in this unit, eg, they have a lot of paper work to fill them out, therapy groups and the patients have schedule that they should follow through the day. It was a good experience to work in a psychiatric hospital because I need to improve my skills in this area. Psychiatric patients could be in any floor in the . hospital as a patients, and I need to be aware of handling this situation. In this week my goals were 1c and 5i.
