Personal Narrative: My Experience As A Teacher Assistant

The greatest way to live life is through experiences. I have given back to my community the best I knew how; through education. I have volunteered at my old elementary school, Leonard Flynn, for years now. I have worked with younger children, hoping they will grow to appreciate their education the way I have. My experience as a teacher assistant has made me a more patient and caring person. It has also motivated me to use my knowledge to better someone’s future.

Over the years I found it easier to work with kids from several grades and age groups. With my background, I felt drawn to the idea of helping other kids who struggle in school and often do not get the support that they need. It is situations like those, of not having someone at home
