Being able to start of high school in Godinez really gave me a head start in becoming who I am now. I used to be a kid who did not really care for rules and would slack off constantly. That was my freshman and sophomore year. I would a be huge distraction to others and myself. Bickering back and forth with teachers was like reflex that I grew up with in middle school. Attending a fundamental school really turned me around. The only reason I talk back to a teacher now, is to ask for help or to help out the teacher in any way possible. I wanted to be more involved with the school soccer team, disappointedly, I did not make the team. However, that did not stop me from going out and supporting them all the way to win the state cup.
Not only did I mature personally, but academically as well. As I began classes her at Godinez, I realized it would be a rather difficult task to complete homework assignments. In Godinez, I felt like that was their main focus. Therefore, my writing skills grew greatly from freshman year to my senior year. My assignments from 11th grade and 12th grade show that I have. My vocabulary and diction has grown tremendously since I initiated my four years. Many students do not realize the importance of having writing skills. They believe that it will not be of hindrance as they go through adulthood. However, being able to write is applied in the simplest of jobs. I have always wanted to be a psychologist and I have noticed that they spend a lot of time writing, which in fact I have done for a while
