Change the Story and the Ecological Model Change the Story proposes that individuals can ‘change the story’ where men and women can be treated equally. Through improving access to education, better polices, practices and support, women are more likely to be more respected in society and violence against women can stop. This campaign recognises that working together with communities, workplaces, institutions to ensure that women are more likely to achieve social and financial independence through society having more respect for women (Our Watch, 2016). Everyone has their own community or organization for which they belong to. Within that community you tend to find who you are and what you are about. For me I found my identity in being an outdoors man. Being an outdoors man at my young age seems to be rare at this day, but that doesn’t prevent me from doing something I love and appreciate. Growing up with my family full of avid outdoors men helped influence me and only made my identity stronger.…

I've never been an "outdoors" experience kind of person. Maybe, it's because I'm very sedentary and prefer to stay inside to read and enjoy tranquility. I avoid all types of chaos and crowded places. Nevertheless, my visit to the Camuy River Cave Park (back in 2004) was refreshing and enriching in knowledge, historically, scientifically and spiritually. That experience brought the best out of me, as a human being and a nature lover, by giving the chance of experiencing a whole new level of peace and tranquility.…

March 24, 2011 was a cold, bitter day. I had sat in my chair in front of the glass, slider, door peaking out to the house across the river that had haunted me for years. I could just make out the shadow of the young man who had frightened me throughout my childhood. The house held a cold glaze and it's horrifying characteristics seemed to escape from the windows of the house. I had planned this day over and over for three years. Everyday I'd think, and I'd think, and I'd think, about every movement of my plan to execute the man that took my life. I had boated down the river about a quarter of a mile so I could come to the house through the back of the woods. Gun in hand I stepped out of the boat and began my trek through the woods.…

As for transportation, carpooling and public transportation that rely on renewable energy are key to reducing your carbon footprint. Less than a decade ago, most vehicles were required to only meet minimal fuel-economy standards (Henson 388), so for those who must commute by car daily, investing in an energy efficient vehicles like electric cars and hybrids is a great way to help cut carbon…

Since I was young I’ve been surrounded by animals. With my first pet being a Hissing Cockroach and my cat being crossbred with an Asian leopard I always thought it was safe to say I was born into a wildlife. I never considered looking after animals as a job but merely as an everyday chore that I enjoyed. As a child who was primarily raised by conservative grandparents the typical words of encouragement were at best, directed towards a job in the medical field, politics, and law which in no way shape or form did I show any sign of interest.…

The transportation of the materials in order to distribute them creates smog through the use of tires and exhaust creates more environmental problems. The use of electricity to distribute the fuel is not environmentally freindly and the use of the gas once distributed is not friendly.…
