Boring, is how my break went. I literally did nothing. All I did was babysit, go to different families house’s and celebrating birthdays which was very boring.
The first thing we did was go to my aunt Lisa for Christmas. We had a big dinner with lots of food to start off. After I got a fifty dollar target card and a 100 dollar gift card to anywhere. After we played spoons . Spoons is a card game where you try to get four of the same kind of card if you do you grab a spoon. After we played spoons everyone was tired, so we went home. The reason my academics aren’t going well as you or I would like is because of the several family issues I’ve had to face during my high school career. It began my Sophomore year, I found out my mom needed surgery in her arm so the chances of her cancer spreading would be reduced. I was under a great deal of stress worrying about my mother, taking care of my four siblings making sure they knew everything was going to be okay, even though I wasn’t sure myself. It was all up to me; while my other brother worked to help with bills, my mom being in the hospital, and my dad working. Taking care of my siblings consisted of cooking, homework, cleaning, nightly routine, and putting them to bed. When the work was done it would be around 10 o'clock. It was already tough to buckle down and focus on homework without all the stress. With all this my first semester grade was less than great.…

In life, there are periods of transition in which individuals often face daunting challenges or obstacles. Overcoming these challenges at pivotal points of transition can impel the individual to develop essential character qualities and skills for surmounting adversity. My transition into high school was momentous. Here I knew that the decisions I made would likely have a strong impact on my future. Therefore, I had to be meticulous about the extracurricular activities I wanted to be involved in. This mindset allowed me to stay focused and determined because I wasn't focused on going to the next party or the new music that was out. I cared solely about the legacy I left behind. That is why I decided to run for student government at the end…

It was the day that I was dreading all week. It was the day my brother was leaving for college. Since the day i was born me and my older brother have been really close. We liked the same things, hung out with the same people, and played on the same sports teams. We did everything together. As time went on nothing really changed even through high school we were still really close. The day he was leaving for college I was at my friends house and didn’t want to go home until the minute he was leaving. I didn’t want to see him until he left because i knew it was going to be hard for me to watch him leave so i figured if i didn’t see him until he said bye it wouldn’t be as bad. Another part of me also didn’t want to show him weakness, that i was…

Hey, I am born in Los Santos, Idlewood the 12 /05/ 1997 in All saints hospital. I've been growing up with both parents and my older brother in a safe home and parents that took care of me and never made me worried about anything. I past my High School with a lot of A's. I never got into trouble in my High School years, but it all went wrong when I moved away from my home. I moved to a little apartment in the market, not that long away from where I grew up. But it was different.Graffiti and gunshots were a part of everyday and every night too. I didn't really have any friends from High School because they all moved to other countries or cities, so I started on the streets. I met a guy named Johnny, who took me under his arms and took care of…

You go from being in a place where you are totally comfortable to being in a new place full of new people you have yet to get to know. And for every single freshman, it’s especially harder for any number of personal reasons. When I first got to Williams I often wondered if I really belonged here at all—was I smart enough, talented enough, educated enough? As I got closer to my JAs and my entrymates, I began to overcome my insecurity and learned that I could and did belong at Williams. I want to be a JA because I want to give a group of freshman the same support and confidence that my JAs instilled in me. I want to be able to work with a group of my peers and my…

High school is one of the biggest transitions in a person's early life. You go from being at the top in your school to the bottom. For me, it was very hard to adjust to this change. On my first day of high school, I walked into first period so nervous I thought I was going to get sick. This is much like what happened during my transition into middle school. On the first day at Mazzuchelli, right before the first class began, I threw up all over the floor of the classroom. I’m not a big fan of change. To make matters worse, the first week of high school was outrageously hot. The combination of the heat and my nerves made me sweat uncontrollably. At the time, I felt very self conscious of sweating during class. As bad as these first few days…

Mom is also cooking with grandma for our Christmas dinner! The foods are delicious! After eating, we gather around near the fireplace and opening Christmas presents from each other. We also tell Christmas stories while eating grandma’s cookies. But eventually we all have to sleep, and that’s the end of how I spend my Christmas.…
