Personal Narrative: Mechanical Engineering
Since I was a toddler I have always been into cars and anything automotive. My passion for cars sparked as a young kid growing up watching the fast and furious movies as well as watching my brother work on his 1967 Ford Mustang. To me, they have and always will be apart of me, weather it be the passion or the goal I’m setting out to do, working at Ford Motor Company as a engineer for the performance division, specifically engineering the aerodynamics of the next generation Mustang. My focus has always been to do well in school. Pushed by my parents and siblings to work hard and learn. I always was taught to focus in class and work my best because even if I didn't have the best grades in the class, I was still attempting to be the hardest worker in the room. I also was always growing up with a family of car enthusiasts. From the passion of corvettes and shelby cobras that my dad shared with me to the knowledge of building a car that my brother taught me. I grew up to love cars through video games, toys, and even the real things. …show more content…

I wanted to specialize in automotive engineering to potentially be the next person to work apart of the Mustang team in Dearborn, Michigan. Not only do I have the passion of cars and prior knowledge but the special connection to the Mustang. As said in the documentary, everyone has a Mustang story. I plan to accomplish this in a very goal specific path. For college, I plan to take courses on mechanical engineering while focusing on the automotive side. I plan to get my Masters degree in mechanical engineering as it is a job that will never go out of

Henry Ford, an American inspiration, engineering prodigy, and business magnate, is the founder of Ford Motor Company, and guarantor of the development of mass production. Despite popular belief, Ford did not invent the automobile or assembly line, but established the first automobile that many middle-class Americans could rationalize purchasing. Transforming the luxe transportation into a practical conveyance, Ford profoundly impacted the economic landscape of the 1920s. Born in 1863 into a farm family in Dearborn, Michigan, Ford says, “It was life on the farm that drove me into devising ways and means to better transportation” (22). At an early age, Ford held an interest in mechanics, constantly thinking of new ways to improve an object’s…

I’m happy with who I am today, just as everyone should be. But if I could change anything about myself, I’d want to have more motivation to do things. In the mornings before school I can barely get out of bed because I’m so tired and don’t want to go to school. I’m exceedingly intelligent but I don’t have any drive. I procrastinate on most of my work, and sometimes I just don’t want to do the work. Right now I’m rank 14 in my class but I could’ve been higher if I had any drive my freshman year. I don’t think about how my decisions now will impact me later and when I do, I don’t really care. I also don’t have much motivation to do things in sports activities. Last year I played volleyball and I never had that much playing time. Never being able…

Many individuals told me that if I would not put thought into the topic of my senior project, I would never enjoy it. I had no troubles getting the twenty hour requirement for this project, and I enjoyed every minute of it. My education will never be complete. This knowledge affords me the ability to grow each and every day. It teaches me to question the world and to learn from these questions. I learn through different lenses and circumstances I experience each day. At seventeen, I am nowhere near complete. I am young. I am flawed. I am naïve. What I have learned has led me down different paths in order to achieve different milestones on my own journey. I am strong. I am creative. I am poised...but most importantly I am learning. My education has allowed me to learn about myself, about others, and about the world. I am evolving through the educational process and through the effort of acquiring knowledge. I have no idea what I will learn tomorrow --some days…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…
