Personal Narrative: Illustrious Night Club
2010 The music was blaring, it was hot and humid, and the smell of sweat and alcohol permeated the air. Collin examined her as she led him up the stairs to the VIP room of the club. She promised him she’d impress him. So far, he wasn’t disappointed. She looked back at him and smiled before she opened the door. She pulled him into the dark room, blindfolded him, and hushed him as he began to protest, telling him she’d be right back. She backed away slowly as he shot her a sinister grin. After several minutes of waiting, he grew impatient, until he heard the door slightly open. He called out her name, only to be answered by a bullet through the head. As Collin bled out, the girl hugged the man with the gun. “You will always be Daddy’s …show more content…
“Illustrious Night Club?” Sam asked surprised. “Caroline that’s a 5 star club! How did you get us on the list?’
Caroline smirked, “I have my ways. Happy Birthday, Sam,” She said handing him another gift. He opened the box and pulled out a new blazer. He’d seen this at a mall and begged Caroline but she always refused. At least he knows why now. “Thank you!” He said excitedly, hugging her tightly, “So when are we going?”
She watched his face as he patiently waited to be told more.
“Tonight!” She squealed. His eyes opened wide.
“But we should probably get ready now,” she suggested, “It’s a three hour drive and we have to pick up a couple guests.”
“You’re the best girlfriend anyone could ask for,” Sam said kissing her cheek. 7:32 PM
Charlie and Ali climbed into the car, unsurprisingly already drunk.
“Tonight’s going to be forgettable!” Charlie slurred.
“Don’t you mean unforgettable?” Caroline asked

“Your dad? I thought you didn’t talk to him”
I don’t. She gripped the steering wheel.
The rest of the ride was silent except for Charlie’s random giggles. 10:06 PM

They parked a few blocks down from the club because the lots were full.
“I guess Daddy’s admission didn’t come with a parking place,” Ali scoffed.
“Ali-,”
“No Caroline! I thought you changed. 26 years old and you’re still using your dad’s money to satisfy everyone,” Ali grabbed Charlie’s hand, “Come on, we’re taking a bus home.”
Before caroline could stop them, they were already walking. Charlie turned his head giving her an apologetic smile.
“What was that about?” Sam demanded as his phone rang, “Oh, um I have to take this, you go ahead.”
Caroline squeezed his hand and started walking with her heels in hand. He turned away and answered.
“Do you have my money?” The man’s voice boomed.
Sam gulped, “Y-yes.”
“Then why don’t I have it?” He yelled
“I’m on my way, sir, please give me more time,” Sam asked desperately.
“Midnight,” and then he hung up
Sam shoved his phone in his pocket and caught up with Caroline, who was already at the entrance, she always walked

Her feet hurt, her back ached, and all she wanted was to get home and rest. The noise in the street had gone up a level; the schools were out, and teenagers from the local Academy swarmed around her. Locked into their world, their interest in each other disguised as mock fights or insults, she was invisible to them, an obstacle they avoided but didn’t acknowledge. Groups of boys huddled together, pretending not to notice the girls that sashayed past them. All of them held their phones as if they were passes to the VIP lounge in a member’s only club. Angie wanted a new phone. They’d argued about it last night. Remembering their argument drove any speculation about the man out of her…

Armin’s mother drove us to Chili’s, as she normally did because Chili’s was our hang out at the time, and dropped us off at the front door. We were there a little early because Armin did not want his mother to see his girlfriend. Armin did not tell his mother that he had a girlfriend because he did not know how she would respond to it. Armin, Jordan, and I walked in the front door. It was packed as it usually is on a Saturday night. All the tables were filled with people laughing and carrying on. The waitress then walked up to us with a fake cheesy smile…

By the light of the flickering red neon beer sign, I started pushing my way through the crowd of chatty young college kids, toward the door. With every step, my cheap, imitation brand shoes stuck to the beer-covered floor. With the cracked, nicotine-stained walls seemingly closing in around me, I had to remind myself to breathe. Reaching the door, I turned back one last time. With tearful eyes, I watched my "boyfriend" playfully kiss the…

She left the room and Kylie and I turned off our laptops. We were talking about all the cute guys at school for an hour and a half before we noticed Michelle didn’t come back. “Let me check on Michelle. She has been in the bathroom for a while,” Kylie said. So I sat there for a while, waiting for my best friends to come back. When it had been five minutes, I left the room to see what was taking them so long. I ran down the stairs two at a time, and turned to the bathroom door. I opened the door, and what I had seen before was eyes were so horrifying. Michelle and Kylie had been slaughtered with a knife, their throats cut and blood oozing down their t-shirts.…
