Personal Narrative: If I Don T Like Fizz
When people look at me they would never guess that I don’t like fizz. I don’t like pop, fizzy candy, none of it. The only time that I would have fizz, for example, pop, would be when there’s nothing else to drink around me and I need something to drink. Most people are shocked when I say I don’t like pop, others say, “Good for you!” Now, sometimes it’s very inconvenient when I don’t like fizz because most drinks have fizz. Especially when it’s a graduation party.

Another fizzy thing I don’t like is the candy that comes in a tiny pop bottle. They are like little mints but they’re pop flavored and are fizzy. They are gross and probably really bad for you. It comes with six different flavors. Each one is like actual pop but they’re different

I don’t get as much sugar and I’m probably a lot healthier than I’d be if I drank pop and had fizzy things. In the long run I’m sure it’ll be a good thing. I don’t know why I don’t like fizz because everyone in my family is obsessed with pop. Specifically, Mtn. Dew. If none of my family members drank pop we would probably be rich! For some reason, I don’t like anything fizzy. But, that’s the way I’m supposed to be so I guess I’ll just have to live with it. It’s nothing too crazy but even though it’s inconvenient at times, it’s probably for the best. Plus, I have some pretty funny stories about people and it all starts with one bottle of pop and no offense to them, but I would not want to be as crazy as them.

For example, my friend and I were at Sweet Corn Days couple years ago. It was night and she bought a bottle of pop. For the rest of the night, she was the most hyper I have ever seen her in my entire life! Let me add, that I’ve known her for a long time. She was really funny and trust me when I say, that the morning for her was even funnier for me. She was so tired and lazy that I gave her a bottle of pop for a joke. It’s crazy what fizzy drinks can do to you. In my mind, it’s liquid sugar and it’s probably not the best but oh,

From the 2 sources that were used for this research, it shows that when you eat too much sugar, your behavior changes. According the first article “Sweet Obsession; The Body Of Evidence Exonerates Sugar,” “When kids eat a lot of sugar, they're likely to develop nutritional deficiencies, and those in turn can cause a problem in their concentration and mental function” (Proulx, Lawrence G. 1995). This means that when kids eat sugar, their behavior and actions change to not normal. From this article, Proulx states that the so called sugar buzz doesn't make you crazy, it makes you very tired (Proulx, Lawrence G. 1995). This states that eating too much sugar changes your behavior. It make you crazy, or it could…

“It may seem harmless to allow your child to drink soda every day. Thinking that soda won’t cause the child any immediate harm is unfortunately common.” (Khara) Unfortunately for the United States, it’s one of the first countries to start drinking soft drinks. This was the scare of my life . I was cruising dirt roads in my jeep with a couple of friends, and we weren’t making very good choices that day . we were all drinking beer even though we were only 16, and I decided to try and show off for my friends and drift around a corner . Well needless to say that did not turn out very well at all. We made it around the corner and then i saw a truck coming our direction. So i tried to straighten it out before I should have and we slid out of control and hit the ditch while sliding sideways and hit a fence which caused us to start to tip over but somehow i turned the wheels just right and saved it . After we were back on all four tires we slid across the road and just barely missed the truck…

In the United States, drinking soda is no longer a fad: it is an addiction. Despite the rising medical problems in our country, Americans refuse to reduce their consumption of soda. Whether soda consumers choose to deny links between soda and health risks or ignore them, it is unfortunate that these consumers are oblivious to how serious of a problem drinking soda truly is. Regardless of what companies who produce the drink claim, soda is a dangerous liquid and is harmful to the human body. It is linked to greater weight gain, higher amounts of body fat, and an increased risk of heart disease and Type II diabetes. Health problems in the United States will continue to grow if Americans do not decrease their soda consumption.…

This year for cross country I decided to try to stop drinking pop. I stuck to the resolution for about a month, but then I gave in on a Sunday, in fact, every Sunday after the first month I drank some. I normally drank pop about two times a week before I tried to go without it, so when I started the temptation wasn’t bad at all. However, every Sunday my family goes out to eat at Culver’s because we go to church in Clear Lake. The free pop I get with my kid's meal finally got to me (I get the kids meal so I can get custard for free at the end of my meal). If I were to do something like this again I would choose something else to eliminate from my diet instead of…

School food officials want every single student enrolled to eat and drink healthy and that is great but chemical soda isn't the way. Students swallowing down this diet beverage are swallowing harm, but who's going to lie, it's more refreshing than drinking milk for lunch. I mean cause fruit punch, water,or any other juices, that aren't mixed, are bad for you. “The truth about diet soda” adds that “Observational studies show a correlation between diet soda and the metabolic syndrome, which can lead to serious diseases”. The reasoning is because of all the artificial sugars used: aspartame, cyclamate, saccharin, acesulfame-k or sucralose. These artificial sugars can cause elevated blood pressure, which causes blood to pump faster. Is good to have a semi-high blood pressure when working out and being active. So it must be good to have it went drinking soda on the bench at school.…
